Milliaire Winery — Attraction in California

I love to go wine tasting! I've been to Napa, Sonoma, and Lodi several times, but when my coworkers told me aboit the town of Murphys and the great selection of wineries there, I had to check it out. My first stop was Milliaire, and I'm so glad I came in. I came on a Wednesday afternoon and was the only customer there at the time. I was served the tasting list by Patrick on the back patio. Patrick was such a great host. Knowledgeable, personable, and a joy to talk with. The wines were very good and I took 2 bottles to go! Thank you Patrick for the wonderful visit! It was my first time visiting Murphys and we saw this cute little winery, so we decided to check it out. It's super cute. We walked in we were greated by Linda who is just amazing. She explained everything to us in detail and sat us at our table in the back where there were patio heaters and lovely sounds of water flowing from a near by creek. It was such a relaxing experience and they definitely left a wonderful lasting impression on me. Linda was so amazing and attentive and she made this experience that much better. I tasted red wines from this winery and I must say not one of them stood out to me as outstanding. It's only my opinion. At first I thought my taste buds were off and then I asked one of my friends who also loves wine to taste the same wines and we taste one of their Cabs that won gold, also tasted a Malbec also an award winner. I expected more flavor from the award winning wines for what I paid for them. The staff from this winery is very hospitable and helpful.
