Dunbar House Inn and Event Property — Hotel in Angels Camp

We travel to Murphys several times a year, and have done so for many years. We've stayed at many places but this was our first time at Dunbar House. I'd give it 6 stars if I could. The reservation and check-in process was fast, easy and smooth. The front desk staff communicated the day before via text message with lots of helpful info. Our room, #28 Cedar Room, was clean, roomy and charming. We enjoyed dinner at The V and returned to our room to enjoy the in-room jacuzzi tub. The bed was very comfortable, a nice balance of firmness and softness. The sheets as well as all other linens and towels were wonderful. Breakfast was also wonderful. Many choices but we couldn't pass up the Eggs Benedict, which didn't disappoint. Chris the Chef was friendly and fun to chat with. Our stay overall was excellent and we will definitely stay again on our next trip...

This beautiful old house from the 1880’s, expertly restored by the owner, is so comfortable and inviting! Located in the California Gold Country with charming houses, interesting history and bucolic geography with green rolling hills and gorgeous old trees line the landscape. ||We have stayed several times over the years because of the walking distance to all the shopping and restaurants. |Also, the hosts make you feel so welcomed and provide a family atmosphere along with the best breakfast available with a good selection of comfort foods. ||This place is a gem for people who love California Gold Rush history, beautiful landscapes, truly friendly people, fine diverse restaurants, shopping, old architecture, antiques and a relaxed atmosphere. ||This is a destination you will enjoy...

We loved our stay at the Dunbar House. Relaxing and lovely.

It was a weekend where an event was going on and we worried about parking but parking was easy, they have spots just for residents. We stayed at another location in the area during an event weekend and that place didn’t care its patrons didn’t have parking.

The rooms are clean and fresh, I loved the soaking tub.

The best part of the stay, the food, really! We had the best breakfasts! The chef is wonderful! If she had a restaurant I would love to go there everyday! I don’t know how those potatoes were cooked inside but not burned like how most places do them. The veggies and fruit were fresh! There was NO tasteless hard melon that I feel most places serve. Ah if you stay make sure to tip her, the meal is free but...
