Can not recommend this place enough. Im pregnant and early on I started getting sciatica very severely. I couldnt even stand without collapsing. My chiro recommended a massage as it was muscle related and I found Leah who was certified for prenatal massages. I basically crawled up to the office (its upstairs) and experienced the most painful massage of my life. Dont get me wrong, I asked for it. She said that she could be gentler but I told her Id rather be able to walk. And walk I did. I limped out (not crawled) of the appointment. It was a large improvement from when I arrived but my back was swollen and sore. Within 2 days I was back to my FULL function. I could walk, run, and even lift. I went back every other week until the sciatica was fully gone. Now I go once a month to keep it from getting bad again. We now do a mix of trigger point on the sciatic nerve and relaxing massage on the rest of the body. She is great at both. Highly recommend Leah if you have any sort of muscle problem that needs fixing, or even if you just want a nice...
Read moreThis is the only place I trust for my massage, and I'm pretty selective about my massage. It's always so relaxing (fall asleep and snore kind of relaxing). So far, I have only seen Peter, but I'm sure they are all great. Every time I have gotten a massage here, I have been more than satisfied with their service, the amount of pressure, kindness, and care. I saw Peter a couple of times during my pregnancy, and I made sure to go when I was around my due date so that baby would come, and it was just what I needed, because baby arrived the next day. I couldn't recommend them enough. I also had my first Himalayan hot stone massage for my birthday here and it was THE BEST MASSAGE I HAVE EVER HAD!! Now I can never go back to anything less haha. :) When my husband gifted me a massage for mother's day, I booked an appointment with the Massage Joint, even though they were booked out, they are worth the wait! Thank you Peter and Staff! You guys...
Read moreRude manager, who seemed gleeful at making my experience pointlessly unpleasant. Called to reschedule due to a delayed flight that would have made me late for my appointment. The manager (I presume) indicated that I would be charged a 100% cancellation fee if I rescheduled. This surprised me because the website and confirmation email clearly say "Same day cancellations incur a 50% fee.". Nonetheless I accepted that maybe I'd misread the policy. As I was politely ending the phone call, manager said "maybe next time open your eyes and read so you don't make mistakes". Lol, what?? Stunningly rude and quite out of the blue. Also, he was wrong. 50% same day cancellation if you call. 100% is for no-shows. Written in plain English in the booking...
