During my short visit this morning, I would come to learn that the two business owners were present with their two dogs along with one other client and her two dogs, one of which was aggressive. The other client was clearly uncomfortable upon my arrival with my labrador retriever, stating that she would be leaving “on a positive note”. The aggressive dog, who had been separated and leashed by the business owner upon my arrival, was then unleashed allowed to join the group of dogs playing. This dog immediately attacked my dog, biting him on the throat hard enough to prevent my dog from running away, and pinning my dog to the ground by the throat. The two business owners immediately intervened and re-leashed the aggressive dog who promptly left the facility. This experience is exactly why I have been so reluctant to try this new facility. I understand that animals are unpredictable and you do take a risk by going there. That’s on me. What the outrageous and unbelievable part of this experience was the owners response. I was calm and asked if that dog, now with known aggressive behavior, would be allowed to return. The answer from both owners was “We will talk to her.” Not, “no” based on their socialization and safety policies. I then asked what I would have done if they as owners had not been present for this attack? The female owner said basically she couldn’t say, “there are a lot of scenarios”. It is my opinion that potential scenarios include a dog being seriously hurt or killed or a human being seriously bit. To clarify the owner’s response and my own understanding that this aggressive dog could be present at any future visit, I asked how would I know if it safe to come into the facility? And how would I know if this dog is in the facility? The female owner’s response was, “You have the option to check the cameras.” A little insight of my own….when I walked in, the male owner said “oh, it’s a day pass.” I am assuming that the client with the aggressive dog is a “member” and/or a personal acquaintance of some sort. This business is clearly not following it’s own safety rules. Avoid it.
Follow up: I received an email from owner with a refund and a link to the webcams, presumably for me to look for the aggressive dog before entering the facility. There was no mention of safety policies regarding socialization and aggressive behavior. The owner mentioned that she does, in fact “know”...
Read moreSo here we are…about 7 months later and I still believe Anytime Puppy Playground is one of the best values for me and my dogs! I have the flexibility and the ability to be with my dogs off leash in a clean safe controlled environment where every dog is pretty much friends with each other. This you won’t find at any outside dog park. This is a PRIVATE CLUB that every Dog and owner that is or wants to become a member has been thoroughly vetted by not only the owners who are absolutely fantastic and respond to every concern, inquiry or every question that I have had within a very reasonable time…dogs must pass a health screening as well. Within this past year, my dogs have gone from somewhat sheltered unexposed untrained puppies to two of the most friendly tolerant and obedient dogs that I have ever owned. I owe this all to Anytime Puppy Playground and the other members. Anytime Puppy Playground gives me the ability to train and exercise my dogs in a stable clean environment that is under control. I train them sometimes with 20 dogs running around in the middle of the afternoon and I train them with no dogs running around in the middle of the night! But most of the time now we just go for exercise and fun. For me to have that flexibility and the consistency that Anytime Puppy Playground affords is priceless. I’ll be a member for the rest of my life oh yeah, and it’s unbelievably...
Read moreWhen I found this place, I feel like I hit the jackpot. The ability and flexibility to being able to take the boys anytime I want day or night rain or shine, snow, hot or cold is one of the most amazing things. The playground is extremely clean, doesn’t stink like other dog facilities, You can view the playground online to determine whether it’s full of other dogs or whether it’s empty,. There are times when I wanna go and do nothing but train my dog on lead and this playground offers the opportunity to do that while there are other dogs running around without a leash. There are times when the facility has many other dogs running around, and it also helps to train with those distractions. Every dog must have a person there with them so there’s no unattended dogs running around. I have found every person that works there and every client that goes there to be amazingly responsible pet owners. Access 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year with unlimited access and when you visit… you’ll freak out because the rate for this club is truly one of the greatest values of...
