This is the redone Mezcalito Butcher spot. Same ownership, new focus. I've been to Tequila Butcher and Whiskey Inferno and generally the food has been "Meh" but the pizza here is a bright spot for the restaurant group. For the record, the cocktail program at these restaurants is pretty solid. Tartufo- woodfired za on a house dough that takes about 3 days to form. Wild mushrooms, whole roasted garlic cloves, mozzarella, fried sage, and truffle honey. I could have done without the truffle honey but outside of that this pizza fired on all cylinders. The mushrooms and roasted garlic cloves were an absolute party. You just have to try it for yourself. I'll get it again no question. This is far and away the best food item I've had at any Misfit Hospitality concept and one of the better pizzas I've had all year. Charred broccolini and cauliflower- just above mid. It was served with both cashew butter and a tamarind glaze. The broccolini was a touch undercooked for my liking and the sauces competed against each other. I would like to see this dish simplified. Fried Burrata- Pro Tip, get a side of toast. Light crust and cheese melts into the marinara which is a tough sweet. You'll devour the cheese and breading and be left with a decent amount of sauce. Enter fire toasted ciabata with butter. Sauce mop away. That bowl was completely clean when it left the table. Wings- Chile crisp and green onion. The cook was solidly executed as the meat had very nice outside crust and juicy tender steamy meat inside. This particular flavor lacked full depth. It was just surface taste and heat with no mid tones to carry it. Next time I'll try a different flavor. They're going through some changes right now so I fully believe they'll eventually hit their full stride taste wise in a few months. Service was great and I have no major nor moderate complaints against this spot. Server forgot our wing order but took full accountability for it. I'm excited to watch it continue to evolve. Their pizza was stupid phenomenal and I really want to try the Porky Fig next time. Even though the broccolini and wings were underwhelming it was still a great experience due to the pizza and the side of toast for sauce mopping the marinara. If you haven't been it's definitely worth a try. I would move it towards the top of your "To try" list.

[Review from the Mezcalito Butcher before the concept changed]. This is a sister restaurant to the Farmer and the Fishmonger right across the parking lot, and was the better of the two restaurants. Decor and pricing was similar between the two, and both had interesting drink menus, but the food here (at Mezcalito) stood out. We started with drinks -- an old fashioned and the Streets of Oaxaca City. The old fashioned was good, but not as smooth as Farmer. The Streets is one of my top favorite drinks now-- sweet with pineapple juice but with a discernible kick from the jalapeno; really nice flavors and overall a great drink. We also ordered chips and salsa. The chips are nice and thick, house made. They gave us the choice between red and green salsa; we asked for both. The green was clearly superior-- red had a smoky flavor, but a little too bland otherwise, whereas green was sweeter with a lot more flavor. Would love to see a spicier option (the server said red was spicier-- we didn't agree, at least as made the night we dined) Our meals were the chicken mole and the barbaccoa lamb shank. Both were excellent. The lamb shank was paired with some of the best mashed potatoes I've ever had; they seemed to have some greens in them, and maybe some avocado to smooth them out. Not sure, but whatever they're doing... it's WORKING! The chicken was served with cilantro rice which was solid, but the dish could have used more sauce for the portion of chicken. The chicken was tender and juicy-- all around, everything was well cooked and well seasoned. We ended with a chocolate cake with avocado buttercream. The buttercream did not taste like avocado, in case you wondered! It was a small slice, but rich and decadent and perfect to split after a great meal. Total for 2 drinks, 2 entrees, an appetizer and a dessert was $91 before tip. Service was a little disjointed, but everyone seemed to work as a team, which I think led to a better dining experience. Overall, this restaurant is a credit to Apple Valley and I recommend visiting.

We visited Pizzeria Social for soft open and had a wonderful experience! The building is gorgeously finished and is shared with an awesome coffee shop which we visited before hopping over to the Pizzeria side. There is plenty of seating and a beautiful patio space. Our server was kind, prompt and attentive. The menu is well-thought through and varied enough that there is something for everyone, making it a great spot for families, date night or a night out with friends. We started with two drinks - the Smoky Negroni and the Takes Two to Mango. Based on the stellar cocktail record of this group's other establishments, we weren't surprised that the drinks were totally on point. Both were delicious. I later asked about an off-menu drink that the bartender was so kind to go the extra mile to make specially for me and knocked it out of the park. We had three kids with us and were glad to have a nice selection of items on the kids menu for them to choose from. Portion sizes were very generous for the price and all three really enjoyed their meals. They also loved having a stack of games available to play! We were glad to see Gluten Free options here and shared a Thai Chicken pizza on GF crust. Flavors were great and the toppings were generous. There are lots of other unique pizzas here we'd like to try on future visits but there is much more to this place than pizza too! Although this is a very family friendly place, we're excited to come back with friends for a date night, explore some of the more adventurous things on the menu and try some of the other cocktails. Looking forward to our next visit!

I want to like this place and want so badly for it to succeed but they are making it so hard. We've been here four times now and it's something major every time. The first time the service was extremely slow and the appetizer/salad were really bad (the carrot app was raw and the salad was one big chunk of lettuce that was burned to a crisp). It was within a couple weeks of opening, so definitely extended some grace and tried again. Second visit we were seated and waited 20 minutes with no one stopping to even provide water, while 5 tables seated after us got drinks and orders in. When we finally asked if we had a server assigned to our table, the host was super grumpy, as was the server that finally came over. We placed a single drink order and our food order and the server delivered both and then never came back. We ordered sandwiches from the shared space Curioser Coffee one morning a short time later and were given the wrong order. It was impossible to get anyone's attention (it was busy) and when I was finally able to catch the managers attention, she grabbed the items out of my hand and huffed off (literally, she huffed and kind of rolled her eyes). We had to wait 20 minutes to get the correct order because she put us back at the bottom of the order queue, which was long. No apology, just 45 minutes to get our food. Finally, we most recently tried their delivery service (which was $21!!) and our pizzas were 20 min late, pretty cold and just not worth the money ($23 for the Ragin''Cajun 10" pizza, the blackberry pizza was equally puny). I can go to Punch Pizza and get an excellent pizza for $10 that is piping hot and ready exactly when they say it will be. We've given this place plenty of chances, we are definitely done at this point. Only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the pizza has the capacity to be...
