If I can rate this place a negative 100 I would. They say you get what you pay for but here… no, you get MUCH LESS than what you paid for. I’ll attach pictures of the two rooms I had to deal with but in short, I booked a non smoking , they gave me a smoking and then tried to argue with me that I booked a smoking room through Expedia. I didn’t even book through Expedia lol I booked directly with them. Then upon checking everything, there were cigarette burn holes all over the sheets, the left side of the room electric was completely out, there were no towels and the room just wreaked. I opened the door for awhile to get some air flow in there when I noticed the numerous times people have tried to break into the unit, attempting to jimmy the door open, directly next to a broken fire alarm. Mind you, they gave me the absolute last unit 238 in the very back where there were no cameras and no visibility, right next to a trapper who asked me if I buy “ice” and then sized me up to see if I would spend. After this I asked to move rooms for the simple fact it wreaked of smoke and I’ve never even smoked a cig before , let alone tolerate the smell! The front desk man walks to the room and argues with me face to face essentially telling me to get over it, I’ll be fine lol he noticed my mood change drastically and decided he would switch the room (there were maddd vacancies, it shouldn’t have been an issue). He takes my number and leaves.. twenty minutes later he calls me and says he has another room, I get the key and when I get to this other room, it’s literally closed for whatever maintenance issue they have going on. I go in anyway to see a tattered up couch, no sheets or pillow, a used toilet paper roll, a toilet not flushed, no towels or anything and I just sat there and laughed it off. Upon going back into the 3rd party app I booked with , I noticed that they actually never confirmed my booking , I literally have the email stating I had no reservation. So I , under duress after driving 20 hours, pulled up and they realized they didn’t have my reservation but acted like they did ?! they told me I just needed to pay the security deposit , upon checking my account .. they actually ran me for the whole duration when I was told they would charge $30 not $304?! 30 and 300 don’t sound anything alike . This place is a scheme , nasty nasty rooms , nasty people , nasty everything. I’ve stayed in budget HOSTELS that held themselves to a higher standard. This is really embarrassing , they should be shut down. OH and the blue sheet you see in the pic is actually mine I used for my drive, the bed seemed so nasty I just couldn’t sit on it regularly, now I’m going to burn...
Read moreDon’t. Just don’t. The online photos are very misleading. Near the stadium but absolutely disgusting facility. Our concert was cancelled and they refused to cancel the rooms. We decided to look at the rooms, but were not optimistic because the outside was run down, and the front desk person was behind a glass barrier with a little window like you’d see in a neighborhood where you’d expect to get robbed. Felt unsafe. Overflowing garbage cans by rooms. Room had stains on the walls, a roach in the bathroom, and smelled musty. Looked like a place the bedbugs would love. Pricy for the low quality offered, but maybe the price was increased because of the concert. Argumentative front desk guy charged my sister for my room without her permission because her card was the only one on file and they were determined to get paid. (Disputing with credit card company.) Other people in line behind us had a similar description of their room.
Addendum: Evidently the truth hurts. The owner responded that my behavior was “abusive” yet I used no profanity, I didn’t name-call and my voice was not raised during our interaction, even though I kept getting interrupted. My sisters and I simply refused to stay in such poor conditions, as did several other people at the same time we were leaving. The statement that no one else had issues with the place is simply untrue. Look at the reviews. Finally, the new concert date is the Sunday after Thanksgiving and we are not able to attend, which we told the front desk person. We were told they would change the reservation date but we couldn’t cancel that either once it was changed. In my opinion these are unfair and deceptive...
Read moreFirst of all, I would much prefer to leave good, positive reviews than leave bad ones. I understand that sometimes, like people, we catch places on bad days. In fact, I think I've only left maybe three bad reviews, total, in my life. This is my first 1 star bad review, to boot.
But, this hotel deserves it and then some! It was, without a doubt, the dirtiest hotel I've ever stepped foot in. And, during the course of my life, due to the amount of time my parents and I have traveled for work and fun, I've stayed in countless hotels and seen some pretty bad ones. So, for this hotel to be the singular worst is saying A LOT.
Not only was it beyond filthy, our shower did not work - at all. You could take a bath if you chose to ignore the horribly stained bath tub. But, I couldn't. Which is sad, considering that I took a three month bicycle tour of Florida and spent those three months showering in the public restrooms of state parks! This bathroom made those look spotless! I can be accused of being a lot of things, but a germaphobe isn't one of them. And, I couldn't even walk on the tile floor without my shoes on.
I understand the concept of getting what you pay for. But, when a restroom that's probably cleaned once a month and sees ten times as many people works better, smells better, and seems more trustworthy than the bathroom you pay over $50.00 per night to use, THAT should be a wake up call. Something has...
