This was a difficult one to rate. I want to preface my review by first saying that if you're planning to visit Loews Arlington Hotel because of its luxury vibe and high-end facilities then you won't be disappointed because that is exactly what you'll get.
The rooms are lovely, very clean and modern. Everything feels brand new and there is definitely an air of quality that you'd expect for this sort of hotel.
The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming (special shout out to Ayanna), as were the staff in the lobby café. I definitely recommend their baked goods for breakfast if you're not keen on room service. The croissants in particular were delicious.
Despite the many pros, there were some negatives that impacted our stay that I think are worth mentioning. To start, while Loews is new, at times elements of the hotel felt unfinished or not as well thought out as it should have been.
For example, if you want to get to the hotel's parking garage from the lobby you have to go through the convention center of the hotel - which during weekdays, is rammed with conference attendees.
Navigating this circus with your bags is awkward enough, but if you happen to be in poolside attire or more relaxed clothing and unexpectedly find yourself surrounded by business people it can definitely feel strange.
Re: the pool. The facilities and the area around it are lovely. Do note however that there is some construction going on directly beside the hotel pool which can be seen and heard by those in the area. If this doesn't bother you that's fine but it might be annoying if you aren't expecting it.
Food at the Italian restaurant (I can't remember the name) was good but the service was slow - the server forgot to put our order through despite waiting 25 mins after ordering. It was a busy weekend though so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that that's not standard practice.
Sadly, we received truly awful service from the bar staff at the pool bar. After my husband finished his meal, one of them, a female staff member, spoke to us very rudely.
Her coworker had informed us earlier about the poolside policy regarding outside food/drinks (which was completely fine and we had no issues with that whatsoever) but when she arrived and spoke to us her tone was incredibly aggressive and condescending as she tried to "move us along".
Aside from the fact it wasn't necessary as we weren't doing anything wrong (we were actually considering buying more food from the bar!!), she seemed to want to cause a scene on the heels of her co-worker's words, so we quickly got up and left.
The whole episode was just bizarre to be honest. I've never experienced anything like it before - not ever at a motel or a chain hotel let alone somewhere like Loewe's.
Ultimately, this was the biggest contributing factor for not giving a higher rating as mostly everything else were minor issues and wouldn't have impacted my stay, but the poolside encounter left me with a really bad feeling and a less than positive view of how (certain) staff treat the guests there.
Hopefully my experience was a one-off. I would still recommend the hotel for those visiting the area, but just make sure you do your research so you're as informed...
Read moreI recently stayed at the Loews Arlington Hotel for a graduation weekend and overall had a very mixed experience. The property itself is beautiful, modern, and designed with guests’ comfort in mind, but there were some service and logistical issues that stood out during my stay.
The room itself was very chic and stylish, with a contemporary design that felt upscale and inviting. It had ample space for both relaxing and working, and I especially appreciated the abundance of charging outlets, which made it easy to keep all of my devices powered. The television was another highlight, offering not just standard channels but also apps like YouTube and Pandora, which made downtime more enjoyable. The shower was spacious and had good water pressure, though the design could use some improvement; water tended to leak out the side since there wasn’t a proper modification to keep it contained. Additional amenities such as a mini fridge, coffee maker, ample lighting, and plenty of storage for clothing and personal items made the room comfortable for an extended stay.
Housekeeping staff were consistently polite and helpful, although I did have one instance where my room was interrupted despite having a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door. It was not a major issue, but it did take away from the sense of privacy.
The front desk staff, however, were a highlight of the stay. I was checked in by Xavier, who was professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, there were a couple of frustrating moments as well. My original reservation was for one day less than I needed, so I paid for an additional night. Despite assurances that my key card would continue to work, it was deactivated, and I was left waiting about 15 minutes before the issue could be resolved. Later, I noticed a $65 lunch charge on my bill for a meal I did not have. Thankfully, the staff resolved this quickly and professionally when I brought it to their attention.
Parking was another challenging aspect. Self-parking is available for about $28 per day, but the walk from the garage to the rooms takes at least 10–15 minutes with no real shortcuts. On the day of graduation, parking prices skyrocketed to $165, and despite having prepaid over $100, I was told by two attendants that I could not enter. After arguing with staff, I was finally allowed in, but the entire situation was stressful and unnecessary on my graduation day.
Pool is very nice. Open from 9 a.m. to 10 pm. Ample staff. Has hot tub and slides. Towels everywhere for you.
The hotel itself is part of a massive convention center complex, which includes ample public restrooms and event space. The location is excellent, situated just a short walk from major attractions including AT&T Stadium (home of the Dallas Cowboys), Choctaw Stadium, Globe Life Field, and even a nearby Walmart and 7-Eleven. Across the street is Live! by Loews, which is more of a sports entertainment venue than a casino.
In summary, the Loews Arlington Hotel offers modern, spacious, and comfortable accommodations with friendly staff, but the experience can be marred by logistical hiccups and frustrating parking issues. With a few operational improvements, this could easily be a top-tier hotel choice...
Read moreI understand no hotel is perfect and I really wanted to give them 5 stars. But for the amount of money I spent, I did have a few disappointments. Overall, it was a good stay and I would come back again. Especially now that I know a few things about the place.
Pros: -Everything is brand new (Opened Feb 2024). No broken lights, a/c struggling, mold, bugs, etc.
Service was phenomenal (For the most part).
The sights from the hotel room were awesome (We were on the 19th floor facing the Choctaw Stadium).
-Walkable distance to various locations around the hotel. Everything was very close.
-Pool area was the best I had been to. The staff there was very attentive and friendly.
Cons: -Waterslide was out of service due to no life guard. (I had a hunch about this before I arrived).
-Room service took a glass cup I got from Texas Live. I wasn't very mad about it, I understand it could have been a mistake. I called about it and they told me theyd call me back. They never did. Kinda annoying.
-Valet struggled to keep up when they were busier for a baseball game that had gone on while we stayed. Waited 1hr. We were patient. Never complained. The staff was working very hard. Just wish I had a ETA of some sort on the texting feature.
-One of my bed pillows smelt like a dog. I know this place is pet friendly but it was kinda gross. Tried to call room service, they didnt pick up. So I left a note on the table and they did replace it.
Alcoholic drinks were $$$, I know it's always gunna more expensive at a hotel. But even a couple complimentary drinks would have been nice just because we bought a room there.
Some notes:
When we first arrived, it was dead. Pool was basically empty, valet was very fast. But when the Baseball games/ Tattoo convention went on. It blew up. Barely were able to find a seat at the pool. Valet was a long wait. This place is meant for the conventions and the games that happen near by. We were not here for either one of those things. We were just visiting the area (mainly to visit some Pantera locations) and I wanted to treat my kids to a really nice pool hence my disappointment for the waterslide. So if your like me, I suggest coming here when nothing is going on to get the most out of everything. Otherwise, prepare to pay way more and wait during their busier times.
A couple of other things to note. You can visit the other hotel connected by a sky bridge. We were told our cards should give access to their pool. It did not. But luckily some people let us in. We ran into one of the models in the elevator for the tattoo convention and she said that we should be able to get in since we had a room at the hotel. This was not true either.
Overall, I really did have a great time and am thankful for all the staff. I was a little disgusted at some of the other guests leaving trash and towels in spots that I didn't think was appropriate. We threw away our own trash and got our own drinks. I even picked up a few other peoples towels and put them in the return bin. I've worked a service job and I just wanted to be helpful and not give them more work than they already had.
P.S. Heres their menu for the pool bar. Didn't see a good pic...
