My husband and I stayed here for our 23rd anniversary and to see the Mega Hella Tour. We had a luxury king suite on the 9th floor. The hotel is more like a boutique hotel in size and amenities.
There is a really great pool area with a bar and small food menu. We felt like the pool closing at 9pm was early. The pool is also closed for an hour during the day. Towels are available at the pool so no need to take one with you. Easy access from the elevator is by taking a left instead of going right and through the lobby.
There is only one real restaurant, Cut and Bourbon, at the hotel. This is the restaurant that also provides the room service food. The food here is very good but as expected, pricey. There is also patio seating with a nice view of AT&T Stadium. We had room service for breakfast, dinner and then a sit down breakfast. The service was wonderful.
Our room was nice but not really worth the cost. The coffee maker didn't work and the air wasn't very cold. For the cost, it really was a basic king room. The linens were nice and there were plenty of pillows. We did get coffee vouchers but it would have been nice to not have to get dressed to get coffee.
The little convenience store/coffee shop had early hours and on Sunday very early hours. There is nothing nearby to get bottled water or something simple to take back to the room other than this shop. We just drank tap water to take our vitamins. They do have an honor system for getting snacks. You just go in and grab what you need and take it to the front desk to put on your room tab.
I wanted the weekend to be an oasis, to where we park the car and we have everything we need in the hotel area. That wasn't the case as we found ourselves bored on a Sunday night. Even Texas Live was dull and the food service was shut down by 8pm. We just went back to the room hungry and bored. The area is growing so I'm sure it will be better in a few years.
The staff was nice and helpful but there were a few hiccups.
Valet parking was easy but pricey at $41 a day. The fees were ridiculous, these are per day. Two night deposit was $343.67 6% state occupant tax 9.18% occ city tax 2% tourism assessment 1% urban fee and an additional urban fee tax The total fees, not including food, for a Saturday and Sunday, including valet was $583.86. This is in addition to the room rate.
Also, it was our 23rd anniversary and nothing special was done. Now, upon checkout they did comp us breakfast but it was because the coffee maker was broken and someone had promised to come up and either fix or replace it. Since nothing was ever done about the coffee maker, they offered us breakfast.
The breakfast staff was very friendly. Our waiter did make a weird comment about him being sent to deal with difficult customers. It was weird because we weren't being rude or difficult. Then he brought us a bill but we asked him if the breakfast was still being comped and he said that only $30 was covered. I guess we looked surprised so he took the check back. He came back and said that he would take care of it. We asked what it meant, that we didn't want any staff to have to foot the rest of the bill and he said that, no, the company would cover it but he couldn't find a manager. He said that a multi-billion dollar company could afford it. It was just a few odd, slightly hostile comments. We still left a large top.

Read moreI had chosen your hotel to celebrate my husband's 45th birthday, bringing along our children for what we hoped would be a memorable and enjoyable staycation. Unfortunately, the experience was far below our expectations due to a series of significant issues that severely impacted our stay.
Upon arrival, we valeted our car and began the check-in process at Lowe's Hotel, only to be informed that our reservation was actually at Lowe's Live. The valet staff assured us this was a common mix-up and instructed us to call for our car when needed. We then made a lengthy trek with our children and luggage to Lowe's Live, only to find that our room was not ready despite a confirmed check-in time of noon, as stated in our confirmation email. We finally spoke with a manager who arranged another room for us, but no upgrade was offered despite our inconvenience.
After an otherwise pleasant afternoon at the Rangers game, we returned to find that the pool with slides, which our children were eager to use, was located at Lowe's Hotel and not Lowe's Live. Upon reaching the pool, we discovered the slides were closed, further disappointing our children.
Dinner at Farena was an exceptionally poor experience. Service was slow and disorganized, leading to incorrect drink orders, delayed appetizers, and missing meal items. The manager apologized and comped our meal, but this did not make up for the long wait times and the overall negative dining experience.
Upon returning to our room, we encountered additional issues: the toilet stopped working, and the air conditioning was inadequate. We requested a fan to avoid disturbing our children with a technician visit late at night. Moreover, the noise from Texas Live kept us awake, which was precisely why I did not want to stay at Lowe's Live.
The final straw was the confusion with the valet service upon our departure. Despite calling ahead as instructed, our car was not ready when we arrived, resulting in another long wait under unfavorable conditions.
Overall, our stay was marred by numerous service failures and miscommunications. This experience was particularly disappointing given the special occasion and the cost associated with staying at a hotel of Lowe's reputation. We feel that we would have had a better experience at a more budget-friendly hotel, which is not what we expected when booking...
Read moreWe stayed here for a conference. We booked over a month in advance. During check in we were told that both of our rooms were not available. We were told 30 min. I checked back after a hour, still no rooms. After almost 5 hours we got our rooms. During this time I had to attend the conference while my wife and infant waited for the room. When the room was finally available they took the bags to the room. I had my wallet with the money and wife did not. The bell hop was extremely pushy and stated to my wife " I guess you have never stayed in a nice hotel." Then stated I require a tip. Sticking out his hand and being very aggressive with it. Oh course my wife felt threatened. Then During our stay I required our car. (Due to no handicapped parking anywhere near the front door. Which I though that was law.) So they went to go get it, they brought someone else's vehicle. I told them it wasn't my vehicle. They then argued with me, then went to go find my vehicle. After bringing my car around, the valet, after everything that transpired, stuck his hand out for a tip. Seriously??? Then during check out I went down stairs to get a cart. When I was walking towards the elevators , a bell hop by the name of Martin ran up and grabbed the cart and jerked it out my hands and stated you can't do that. I asked him why not, he then started getting I'm my face saying you just can't. I walked to the front desk to speak with a supervisor about the situation, and while speaking with the desk supervisor, the bell hop decided to come around and get belligerent some more even once again getting aggressive and in my face. If this Hotel chain teaches rudeness, and entitlement to its employees, they successfully did their job. I will never be coming back to this facility again. And I will def be putting in my complaint with corporate as well as the company that had our...
