105Worth Event Center — Attraction in Asheboro

We had the pleasure of holding our daughter's wedding at 105 Worth in January 2021. What a GREAT venue for a party. The 3 unique floors offered us a variety of options. We held the rehearsal dinner on the ground level, ceremony on street level and reception on top level. Paul and Everon were wonderful to work with. They scheduled us early arrival and took the pressure off of the decorating detail work that is needed for a wedding ceremony. We allowed them to cater the rehearsal and reception dinner as well. Our guests were complimentary of the service and quality of food served. As a host, that's what your are most concerned about. The neighboring court house made for great wedding photos as well. Your photographer will be able to capture great pics of your event with the natural beauty of the venue. My wedding was cancelled 59 days before it was scheduled to be held at this venue. I called to make final payments and told they were no longer holding events. We were told the venue had JUST (within the last 24 hours) made the decision to close due to the pandemic, but now upon looking at other reviews, my suspicion of this not being accurate has been confirmed. Not only have we not received our refund that was promised a month ago, they have been unprofessional and unapologetic about how this was handled. We were blamed for not staying in touch with them as to why they did not reach out. We have lost not only what we believed to be our perfect space, but thousands of dollars in other deposits and money spent with other vendors that would not refund our money due to it being less than 60 days before our event. The venue is okay. Parking is terrible, from what i saw.. could be better but I wouldn’t know because my scheduled appointment of 1:00pm was a no show. Me and my fiancé arrived, when we walked in, a baby shower was being held in the room downstairs and upstairs were three people, none of which was a manager/owner. Frustrated, we walked outside and I called them. No answer and i had to leave a voicemail. Only an HOUR after I left my voicemail, did a man return my call apologizing. Unfortunately, by this time I was on my way home. Coming from Winston salem, an hour away, this was extremely disappointing and a complete waste of gas.
