Carolina Tap House — Restaurant in Asheboro

Never do any business with Sam and Carolina Tap House. They must be doing MONEY LAUNDERING for sure. He is the most unethical, unreliable, fraudulent person that I have tried to do business with, and will now be sharing my experience on here with others to avoid this person and business!!!!!! I am appalled at their behavior and unprofessional conduct. I needed a new water heater for my diner, and saw an add on CL for one that was good priced. Told him I would take it, and he said I would have to drive to Asheboro from Greensboro first (45 minute drive) to make the purchase even though i accepted his offer of $100 to deliver it. I said whatever. Took today 8/30 off to drive up there and pay him first since that's what he wanted. Emailed him at 10:07 asking I can get up there at 12-1 today, will that work. At 10:10 he said 'sure that works. Let me know when you're here.' I then responded at 10:49, "what is the address.' No response. Sent another email at 11:23 am 'What is the address? We are leaving at 12.' No response. At 11:38 I sent another email, "is it the 141 sunset avenue' since his signature had that. No response but we were on the way. Sent an email at one showing him where we were walking in asheboro after parking, and NO RESPONSE!! Sent him a pic so he knew we were here!! Took the morning off which cost me about $400 since I am a general contractor and had projects, so drove to that address. Walked around for 30 minutes IN THE HEAT and never saw anyone, or received any replies!!I was scammed by this individual SAM. Such an ungodly person taking advantage of people. Never support him!! Its great to have this revitalized area in an old mill town like Asheboro. There is actually a lot more to do around here than one might think and this establishment could really capitalize on this new way of thinking if they just do a few things differently. This idea of a debit card for your beers is interesting and might catch on with a millennial especially one who's had a few sours in him or her and doesn't realize he or she is paying three times as much for an automated alcohol dispensing device to deliver their libation. The owners could pay a bartender and have a few less beers and a more relevant selection of North Carolina local beers that would compliment what they're trying to do at Four Saints Just a few steps down the way. We ordered the loaded tots and they were decent but not anything I would give a four star recommendation for. Plenty of tots -- they are cheap. Not much bacon or cheese or toppings. Also better if they are fried and not done in a convection oven as they were. 1/23/19 Update - - Awesome place to come play poker (Wed nights if interested), have a drink & bite to eat! Sam (the owner) is very accommodating to our group. At first he had limited/craft drinks (non alcoholic) but listens to his customers feedback & now has a great variety. Food menu is also much better too! Don't hesitate to come check Carolina Tap House out.....
