I must say it was a beautiful walk and drive along the Missouri River. I enjoyed the history and beautiful photo ops. Although the weather was a little chilly it was nice being that we are from Southern Arizona and I imagined the 94 degree weather family was telling me about so enjoyed the chill. We came to visit our daughter and wanted to see the place she is attending school. Lots of history in Atchison and the area was breaking (in my opinion) having coming from the Desert (BTW which I still love ) I'll be back in May and can't wait to show the rest...
Read moreBeautiful historic town with rows of Victorian homes. Also on 1 of the 9 scenic byways in the state of Kansas. The local park here is clean and quiet. Much to see and read about. Close to many other historic areas. Lewis & Clark discussed here near an internal flame memorial and a military salute to the armed forces, the U.S.S.
