UPDATE 6/18/2024: Today I received 10,000 points in my IHG Rewards account. I appreciate that Megan followed through to make sure that I got it. However, it's not enough for a room, and the points expire in a year, so take that as you will. 6/15/2024: Still have not received any rewards points or a free night stay, despite reaching out to the manager a couple of times by email (as asked to in her reply below). *Original Review: Let me say, the stay itself was great--the staff was friendly and courteous. The rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast offered plenty of options, and the amenities were nice. If it had ended there, I'd happily give 4.5 or 5 stars. Unfortunately, it didn't end there. In case of "incidentals" or damages, they require a card (credit or debit), which I provided at check-in. However, I paid cash for the amount in full at checkout (got a receipt). About a week later, I found that I was charged for the stay on my card! I called for a refund. I waited several days--and found that I was not refunded, but charged AGAIN for the full amount! I called again, and was told someone would call me back after they looked over it to get me a corrected refund. No one called back (and no refund) by the following week. Nearly 3 weeks after my stay, and after calling them several times, finally all of the extra charges have been properly refunded to my card (I was told by the last woman I spoke with on the phone that the General Manager handled it). No discount or any kind of recompense was offered to me at any point during or after this whole mess. So, despite a nice stay, after all the frustration and stress of dealing with this, I'm sorry to say that we will not be returning, and will not be recommending this hotel to others any more. My stay here was not what I had anticipated or used to experiencing at an IHG hotel. After checking in i dropped my bags off in my room, got settled in and left for dinner. When I returned I noticed on the wall next to my bed a small spot. It was a bed bug. I quickly gathered my belongings and went straight to the front desk. I explained to M and had the bug with me. She had me put it in the trash without looking at it but did look at the photo I took. She changed my room. The next morning I spoke with C who asked if there was anything else that they could do. Previously M provided points and a couple large trash bags for my trouble. I could not think of anything else at the time, But before I checked out the following morning I ran into C and asked her if they had any spray so I could treat my bags. I appreciate the exhaustive search but they didn’t have any. I felt uneasy about this and felt they didn’t have a plan for this type of issue and felt it wasn’t the first time for this hotel. All in all they threw a few points my way (not even close enough for 1 nights stay, 500 or cover cost of spray). I guess they don’t realize what happens when this situation happens because they only see the one side. I had to get spray for my luggage, double wash all my clothes in hot water (damaging), and inspect everything. Very time consuming...

We rented 5 rooms for a Christmas get away for our kids and grandkids. This location did not disappoint! We only wish we could have stayed 2 days! HUGE SHOUT OUT TO CLAIRE who went above and beyond to help us have a wonderful evening. Actually, from the time we booked and called in for information, we were treated with kindness and the most helpful attitudes by all of the hospitality/front desk folks. The place is so very clean in every nook and cranny, even the main bathrooms were kept so well, and the housekeeping staff were gems! Breakfast options were typical offerings but the ladies serving it were the absolute nicest ever! It is also right next to main street shops!! The only drawbacks are the pool is a bit small (but again, SUPER CLEAN) compared to others we have visited, the refrigerators didn't cool real well and the sleeper sofa mattresses were not comfortable. Would not suggest a long stay on them for adults. (The grandkids were ok with them- they were just thrilled to be at the hotel lol) However none of this could overshadow the cleanliness, friendliness or wonderful location of this hotel. We travel for work most of the year and stay in hundreds of hotels, in IHG comparisons, this hotel is A+. Send this to your owners... YOU ALL...
