On a mild afternoon I found myself at the intersection of 5th and Atchison. Out of the corner of my eye I spotted a quaint sunflower painted on a storefront window. I simply had to investigate. Upon crossing the threshold, I was instantly transported to a simpler time where coffee shops were no longer "safe spaces" where local hippies could congregate and complain about capitalism. Nay, this wasn't a run of the mill coffee shop. It was a no nonsense establishment that serves not only coffee, but also milkshakes, pastries, alcohol, and more. I myself decided to purchase a milkshake. Despite being disappointed by the limited options, I chose the peanut butter chocolate flavor. After a short wait, I was handed my delicious looking milkshake in a mason jar. What it was lacking in consistency definitely was made up for in the flavor department. Read moreIf you read the owners reply to my review you’ll note no remorse at all and actually more of the terse attitude I dealt with earlier. I was walking in holding my mostly empty cup normally.
“I was walking into the shop today to buy 12 lattes and bring them back to my friends.
I had 10% of my morning coffee left in my tumbler that I was finishing to refill with more purchased coffee.
The owner of the coffee shop was extremely rude and accused me of bringing my own coffee in as way to avoid buying theirs which couldn’t have been further from the truth. Clearly, they must be doing well if they can afford to treat customers like this.
I won’t be returning again or recommending this place to anyone I know.
You’ll get better customer at any gas station in town.
It would appear I’m not the only one with this...

Then they decided in 15 minute to close early at 1 when the coffee shop was still crowded. Their excuse was " it's atchison people don't care" and they wanted to leave work early. I love the place, I go on a regular cause they are usually nice and its the only decent place here. If this is how they are gonna act cause of their friends Hanging around a front of the cash register. I might as well go somewhere else for a...
