Manager named Mark provided a Disappointing Experience at Camp Creek Theatre – Poor Service and Unprofessionalism
I had a deeply frustrating experience at the Camp Creek location when I went to see Lilo & Stitch on the 8:55 PM showing. I arrived at 9:02 PM and purchased my ticket using the self-service kiosk. After completing the purchase, the screen went blank without printing a receipt, even though it clearly gave me the option to do so. Confident that my payment had gone through, I proceeded toward the ticket-checking area—only to find no staff in sight.
Assuming someone would be available after I grabbed concessions, I continued on, but even after that, there was still no attendant present. Now running late, I attempted to find the correct theatre on my own but had trouble navigating. By 9:25 PM, I approached an employee named Mark for help.
I explained the issue with the machine and that I had proof of purchase on my card statement for both my ticket and concessions. Mark was extremely dismissive and unhelpful. Despite showing him payment confirmation, he refused to assist me and instead escalated the situation by involving security, who ultimately escorted me out of the building—without a refund or resolution.
Eventually, the previously absent attendant returned and was able to direct me to the correct theatre, but at that point, the damage had already been done. What was meant to be a lighthearted movie night turned into a stressful ordeal.
Mark’s behavior was not only unprofessional but bordered on negligent. His lack of empathy and unwillingness to assist a paying customer was disturbing, especially for someone in a supervisory or managerial role. Even other employees seemed aware of his attitude, offering me his name and details on how to file a complaint without hesitation—suggesting this may not be an isolated incident.
This location clearly suffers from poor staff coordination and leadership. It’s unfortunate, as it reflects badly on the company as a whole and leaves guests like myself with a completely negative experience. Unless significant changes are made—particularly regarding staff training and accountability—I will not...
Read moreMy friend Justin Laster visited the Camp Creek AMC Theatres in Atlanta, GA and he was entering the Theatres to go to the bathroom to wash out my 2 Buckets to purchase a Refill of $5.96 of the $24 Refill Buckets when he went under the black rope that a line was formed to purchase their tickets to watch a movie when he was stopped by your Global Security Officer in the AMC Theatres Camp Creek which he is light skinned slim and kinda short he approached me talking about you can't just get out of the line and cut out and go to the bathroom with 2 Buckets like that. He said come back and go back under the rope and stand in the line and wait until we let you in we do not know what you are trying to do with 2 Buckets and your light skinned female Manager just stood there and defend the Global Security AMC Officer as though he was right and she said you did not say anything to me when you came in. He told her do he have to say something to you to go to the bathroom and purchase some popcorn in my 2 Buckets and he was telling her he did not speak to anyone at the door until he got to the counter to purchase my popcorn because he was not buying a movie ticket so why would he need to talk to you or anyone at the door. So the Global Security Officer told him to go back out of the Movie Theatre and come back in and wait in line just to go to the bathroom or just leave and your female Manager just agreed with him and then she started ignoring him like he was nobody like he had never purchased popcorn from the Camp Creek location before. He had purchased several Mega Popcorn Clear Bags which cost $17.99 totaling $19.88 with tax and to be disrespected by your AMC Staff because he came to clean his 2 Buckets out in the bathroom and purchase some popcorn and patronize your business and to be treated like this by 2 Black employees wearing all black. We will not be returning to this...
Read moreA very unprofessional and disorganized movie theatre. I brought my 2 kids there to see the new Minions movie. We came to the first showing at 11:40. Arrived at 11:00 to purchase tickets and get snacks. Only one other patron was there at that time to purchase tickets. We waited for approximately 15 minutes at the concession stand for someone to start taking orders. The crazy thing is that they did have a young gentleman there working, but apparently he was new and could not log into the system to take our order. For some reason, he just stood there and did not go find his manager or another co-worker to assist him. We stood there, confused, for 15 minutes. Finally another co-worker came out to assist but made a statement that she felt like something wasn't right and decided to come out to see if anything was going on. By this time, there is a line of about 6 other patrons. She took my order of popcorn and 3 slushies. By this time it is 11:20 and someone forgot to turn on the slushie machine. I pointed out the slushie machine wasn't turned on. She said ok, but didn't turn it on right away. There are now 3 people working and no one has turned on the machine. I waited an additional 10 minutes for someone to turn on the machine. I asked them how long it would take for the machine to be ready and she said about 5 minutes; but it actually took about 15 minutes. So I decided to wait. As I'm waiting, I overhear her training the new employee. She is telling him how to respond to customers in different situations. And every response she is teaching him is rude and condescending. She is training him on how to be rude to the customers. I am appalled at this point. I think AMC management and leadership would be embarrassed to have this type of customer service at their theaters. Serious training needs to be had at this...
