Here's the thing. The library itself is okay. Not the best selection ever but I know this is not their biggest location. It's super easy to transfer books. My main issue is with the librarians. I'm new to Atlanta and have visited this library three times and all three times I've been treated absolutely horrendously. I don't know if it's my age or the way I look but the ladies there (one in particular) is always so short with me. Treats me like I'm dumb. Laughs when I ask a "dumb" question. And just acts like I'm the biggest inconvenience to her and like I'm going to steal the books or something. I absolutely hate it. I dread going to the library...
Read moreThis library is in a perfect location, it’s clean, safe but it is SO LOUD here! It makes me so sad cause it would have been a perfect study spot but you can’t ever focus or have peace and quiet here. The librarians talk all day with each other or with patrons. Kids run around, people talk and laugh. It’s one thing to be from the random people who come here, but the librarians actually work here and know the purpose of a library. They literally see people study and still don't quiet down. Do not come here to study or get work done, it is more for social hour which is great for some people, but not people who actually need...
Read moreWe have been going to this library for several years. We are big supporters of the summer reading program. This summer, the library has had more system issues that I have ever noticed. We love to support our local library, but we return our books each week. There were times where the books weren't recorded as returned. We were charged fees that we shouldn't have had to pay. I paid them, because I didn't want to cause a stir in the "quiet library". I basically paid for fees that were not accurate due to system issues. There system needs to be updated or more issues...
