On 11/1/19, I dropped my car off to Car Toys on Mississippi Ave. Aurora, CO 80012 around 0930-1000. They could not tell me an approximate time of when my car would be done. I was thankful to get it in. I had a wiring issue because the amp was drawing power from the battery while the car was off causing my car not to start. I received a call around 1400 from Chase @ Car Toys stating my car would be ready in about an hour. I showed up around 1500. I saw my car in the bay and asked how much longer it would be. Jessie checked and returned stating it would be about 30-45 minutes. I left the location and arrived home about 10-15 minutes away. As soon as I parked, they called and stated my car was ready. This was bit irritating because I was just at the location and they lied to me about the wait time. Upon re-arrival, I saw my car in the parking lot, but noticed the hood was cracked open. I went to my car and sure enough the hood was left open while my car was in the parking lot. I informed them of this issue when I arrived. A couple of days later in the evening, I noticed three lights below my radio, which were well functioning prior to Car Toys repair were now not lighting up and are now non-functioning. One of the three lights are my HAZARD LIGHTS, which are a safety feature. I also had a black sheet covering my speakers in the truck, which that was missing after the repair. I called on 11/3/19 and 11/6/19 and spoke to Justin. I reported the repair issue. He agreed I could come in around 9/10am today, 11/7/19 to get my car checked/repaired. When I arrived this morning 11/7/19, Justin was unavailable, but Austin was. Austin was nice and patient and did try to work with me, but the install manager kept beating around the bush and making excuses. I asked Austin if they took appointments over the phone because that’s why I called yesterday to ensure I could be seen. He stated they are trying to get better with taking phone appointments, but they don’t right now. Car Toys needs to fix the wiring issue they caused with my three lights. I appreciate them fixing the initial issue, but now there’s another electrical/wiring issue with three of my lights, including a safety feature that was working well before I took my car to them. I value my time and others and they should as well instead of beating around the bush and requiring customers to visit the store to schedule appointments. Do the right thing and do better. They will continue to lose customers with this type of service and will have lost a good customer (myself) if this issue...

My remote start install experience with the Mississippi Car Toys in Aurora was better than expected. Let me explain. After reading some of the not so nice reviews I was a little hesitant. HOWEVER, I noticed that EVERY review that mentioning the name “Rico” was very positive. So I called Rico the night before and told him I have a high end Dodge Ram that is used for towing a large camper. I explained why they could not touch any existing wiring and my hesitation. I told Rico that I noticed all the reviews mentioning his name were positive and asked for a rough estimate realizing he had not seen the vehicle. He told me to bring it in the next morning and assured me it would be a positive experience. Here’s what my experience was like.
PERSONAL TOUCH: Rico met me in person and explained all the options. He introduced me to two other employees who would be involved in the install. Devin did the install and a second individual did the preliminary vehicle check in. When I returned Rico personally walked me out to the truck and ran thought how to operate the device and had me test it myself.
CLEAR: From explaining options in the beginning to teaching me how to operate the device they were crystal clear. But most importantly the estimate was right on the money. No surprises and I love that!
QUICK: I did not wait long to be helped after walking in at 9:10 am and did not wait long for the install. I walked to the Starbucks and worked on my laptop for 90 minutes before getting a call to pick it up. When I returned, they were quick in going over the install explaining instructions and sending me on my way.
GREAT SERVICE: From start to finish it was a painlessly great experience. I have several employees and was impressed with how much pride Rico took in providing quality service. Turns out Rico is the store manager but the guy’s commitment to good service would make you think he owns the place!
Give Rico and his team a try. You...
Read moreI do enjoy the quality work that was done for my Kenwood deck install. The salesmen Jake initially was a good salesmen. I did come in as a novice. And I felt I was taken advantage of ultimately. Jake explained the price of the headunit that was installed. Once the total rang up it was $720.85. I did feel that was a bit much for labor. However I did pay the price. I was placed into a 4 year warranty w/out being asked. Not saying I wouldn't have accepted the warranty. But is was not offered. It was given. While working on my car. I received a call that an additional $80 would be needed for some part. That is where I felt uncomfortable. I didn't make any waves because ultimately I am a professional. However. Its sad sales practices like these still exist. Overall happy with the install and the quality of work. Would have appreciated a little more transparency in the sale. But what’s done is done. I am getting my speakers done today at Car Toys on Broadway. They already have me feeling better about my purchase. And they ASKED if l wanted the warranty lol. Update: After my front speakers were installed. I was informed that the previous tech did some miswiring so there was nonsoind from rear speakers. They told me to go to Aurora store because I do have warranty. Once arrived. Jake was there. I let him know that my rear speakers had no sound. I waited outside for Jake for a fee minutes and he comes out and tells me “Our tech marked off that tour rear speakers were workingz Go to Denver store since they installed your speakers” I wasn't even provided a courtesy check. Thats the least that could have been done when I spend $800 for a deck and Income to you the next day. I will never visit this Aurora location again. Very uneasy feeling. Manager was rude and dodnt speak. I see all the good reviews. I wish I could say the same....
