I took my 4 dogs (Belgian Malinois, Aussie, Dachshund, and Shih Tzu) and they all had a blast. My dogs are well trained and well behaved and just love playing. When we got home, they were so tired they weren't even interested in dinner. Which is saying something considering 3 of them eat so fast, they have to use slow feeders. The grounds could use a bit of work as I spent some time pulling stickers out of my dog's ears and tail, but it's wide open and you don't run the risk of your active dogs running into anything. Just like all dog parks, you should never count on other owners to control their dogs, especially when fights break out. I broke up a fight that caused 7 more dogs to jump in and just watched 8 owners stare at it happening, without a word. None of my 4 dogs were anywhere near it, but when I said something about the risk of this kind of thing seriously injuring a dog and how nobody stepped in, an owner reprimanded me for the untrained dog and how it shouldn't be there, thinking it was mine. When I tried to explain to him that my dogs are trained and weren't part of it, he said "well my dog is on a leash because he kept jumping up on people." Not sure how that helped his case at all...he then told me I shouldn't be angry with the people that watched it happen. What?? I work with dogs for a living, so naturally I'm going to do what I can to keep everybody safe. I also know that these are animals and things like this happen everyday at these kinds of parks. I'm not asking everybody to run the risk of getting bit, but if you bring your dog to this, or any other dog park, know that there will be poorly trained or aggressive dogs there with sometimes even worse owners, and please, step up when it's needed. Nobody wants to pay the emergency vet bill that could have been avoided because somebody didn't take action into...
Read moreWe went here a total of three times. The first two times had a good experience, was cool out not too many dogs and all were super friendly. Went today and my very friendly pup got attacked by a aggressive dog. Our pup has no aggression in him whatsoever and the big dog went at him with teeth out attacking my dog's face. I yelled at the dog and the owner to get him away and checked my pup. Their dog got him just shy of his eye. Left marks and blood below and at the corner of his eye. The owner put their dog on a leash for a little while then took him off again. We left as soon as he took his dog off the leash, cause his dog started attacking other dogs as well. As we were leaving a husky arrived and went around attacking other people's dogs. I kept our pup away cause we were leaving. I'm not talking about playful fighting, I'm talking hackles up, teeth out. Ignorant people don't seem to realize that you should not bring aggressive dogs to a dog park! Makes...
Read moreI've been taking my dogs here over 12 years. I absolutely love it here. Be careful if does get muddy around here. And over time they removed the trees so there is barely and shade now sadly. It does have a water fountain meant for dogs but during winter being your own. The one thing I hate is people bring any dog. I love all dogs but the owners is what I hate. They are not taking the time or care to do basic training, they don't watch their dogs anymore and they let hump who ever they want apparently. I was there last and for some reason 5 dogs came up to mine and start being to much, humping, starting fights and much more. OWNERS DIDNT DO ONE THING! Please if you bring your dog here you'll be welcome by warm hearts but please watch your dogs and train them. AND FOR CRYING OUT LOAD, CLOSE THE GATES, PICK UP THE POOP FROM YOUR DOG AND MOST IMPORTANTLY KEEP THEM ON A LEASH UNTIL YOU ENTER. Here are...
