BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS!!!!
Many other people have posted the following reviews from other websites:
"Gold's Gym commits fraud." "An employee at Gold's Gym FORGED my signature" "On June 20, 2013, I filed a police report. A detective informed that this is not the first report that they've had against Gold's Gym. According to the Better Business Bureau, there have been 396 complaints against this company within the last 12 months (F rating)." "Bottom line: unethical business practices"
Upon enrollment I was informed that you can perform snatch exercises and drop the weight. Like in Olympic style lifting. In addition to that I would be able to train at most Golds gym considering the amount of travel I do.
After traveling to Miami I get back to find out that it is against the "rules and regulations" of the gym I signed up in to drop weights. When I try and cancel their reasoning is: "You signed up under a multigym contract and since other gyms offer the equipment to drop weights you cannot cancel your membership because of this."
I have attempted several times to resolve the situation diplomatically however after a brief discussion with some associates of mine they are committing fraud by promising one thing and then delivering another and then using unethical business practices to force you...
Read moreHighly recommend this Gym! On spring break, my 18yr old son and I dropped into this gym location, 2x. We were able to get days passes for $15 which I thought was more than reasonable. We went mid-day, on Tuesday and Thursday. Parking was no issue. Although I did not use the shower, the men's locker room facility was clean and had plenty of available lockers. The gym space is huge, and there were ample machines and squat racks to use. I never had to wait for any of my free weight or machine lifts, my son commented the same. What was really cool about this space is there were some locals there that had a clear brotherhood/sisterhood thing going. They were lifting, hitting PRs and cheering each other on. It was cool to see the team like atmosphere. And, because the space is so big and they had plenty of equipment, the team of locals working out together didn't mean we had to wait for the squat rack or incline bench, etc. It's a cool gym, we could have gone anywhere but we chose to come back to this location on Thursday. (They had a pull down row type Hammer machine there that I had never used before, I got such a good pump I can still feel my lats.) Again, highly recommend, we even bought some Gold's Gym in Austin TX tshirts...
Read moreWell some people who go to the sauna may get annoyed with this review but I’m going to let the best kept open secret amount atx golds gym goers out…. This place has the best sauna out of all the golds in Austin. It’s actually hot; rarely down, and 15 minutes here is like 25-30 minutes in other Gold’s saunas in the area. It’s mixed sex so men and women use it at the same time…. The best part is if you’re going to have a hot sauna you have to have water and this golds HAS A WATER BOTTLE REFILL STATION! It takes about 10-15 seconds to full til bottle instead of 40 seconds to a minute at other golds without the refill area. It’s a game changer, it’s why I give this golds 5 stars besides the sauna. Nothing pisses me off more than losing a bench or workout spot because I was filling my water bottle and you don’t have to worry about that here.
Besides that it’s never too busy, even during peak hours and it has all the equipment needed to be a good gym. Nothing is ever under maintenance too long unlike other golds in the area and the equipment meets all your possible work out needs. Heck the dumbbells I think go up to 150.
So overall it’s a great golds, might be the...
