So, my 8 year old pair of custom Oakleys are MIA in Houston and I realized I needed a new pair. Before I drove most of the length of MoPac, I called the store to confirm that they made custom sunglasses and that they would provide the same first responder discounts their website did. When Eric told me that they had custom sunglasses and that they provided a similar discount, I decided the drive was a better investment than waiting for a website order to ship and arrive.
Fortunately, I came into the store and saw Eric, the gentleman I talked to on the phone. With a bit of guidance, we designed and assembled a new pair in just a few minutes. While their selection of custom parts is somewhat limited right now, Eric and I pieced something together that I liked and wasn't an exact match of my old pair. In fact, when we couldn't find a good color of lens, Eric went to the shelf and found another color that was a perfect match.

Read moreI would like to state that the store manager is quite arrogant when I came to deal with my ordered prescription glasses. When they were delivered to the store, which was quite fast and does add a star to the experience here, the store manager was entirely rude and act as if I was not welcomed there. He seemed free from all tasks when I came into the store and rudely asked what I needing from his associate at the checkout area. He continuously made it visually clear that I was annoying to him by rolling his eyes and making other annoyed expressions all while I tried on my glasses. It was a Thursday evening, the entire store was dead the entire 15 minutes I was there, it was not like there was anyone else to attend to. I understand there was no commission to make off me in that moment, but to have me leave with such a negative feeling from their efforts, it had to be made into a review. Zero out of five for the in-person experience, plus 1 star for the expedited delivery...
Read moreHad a great experience at this store. My salesman was super nice and not pushy. He was wearing a shirt with an image of a bike grip end. I spoke with him and his sales Magee about how I had Oakley grips as a kid on my bmx bike and how I wish I had saved them. The manager stepped away to her offices and brought out an award her store received for good sales and it was a golden grip.. I believe it was an b1 grip . I took a photo of the grip and got to touch a bit of my past . They enjoyed my stories of bmxing as a kid. I have always loved Oakley products and remember the grips and especially my first ever sunglasses (razor blades) that I owned. I’m still a biker but now ride mountain bikes. My helmet is a DRT5. I love the products and also enjoyed the experience of the store and its staff. ...
