Better than you may remember!!
My family and I have been seeing movies at this location for over twenty years now. Regal has done an amazing job of keeping up with the times and the competition, especially recently.
For a while, I think that many people may have expected the Shiloh Regal to buckle due to not only an overall drop in national movie theater attendance, but also due to the competition of other, more modern looking/flashy cinemas. I am glad that they were able to stand up to all of these challenges instead.
Even today, Regal Shiloh continues to improve and stand as a major competitor against other surrounding theaters, even as theater attendance in our country continues to drop. Shiloh counters new challenges to the success of the the movie theater industry, mainly online services like Netflix and Hulu, in unexpected ways.
Prefer to watch movies in the comfort of your own home? Shiloh has worked to make us feel more comfortable in their theaters, with larger, more comfy, and adjustable reclining chairs. These seats are attractive, clean (as well as easier to keep clean due to the material used), and, as mentioned already, SERIOUSLY large and spacious. The size of the chairs alone helps to make for a more private, and therefore comfortable, experience, making the room seem larger and effectively giving you more personal space in even the most crowded of showings.
I say all of this because I want people to know that Shiloh is worth it, if even only every now and then. More and more people are choosing to wait for a movie to come out of theaters before watching, often because of finances and frugality. But, when you do have a movie that you are dying to see, I'd recommend Regal.
In summary, I mostly focused on how the theater rooms are now so comfortable that it even surprised me at first. However, you should also visit Regal Shiloh due to their establishment's ongoing effort and persistence in keeping moviegoers coming back, because of their friendly and respectful staff, and to keep movies special!
If you made it this far, thanks...
Read moreThe line was extremely slow last Tuesday November 5th. They were selling tickets at the concession stand, which isn’t uncommon, however they couldn’t have made this process anymore slow if they tried. The people were either new, or didn’t care about their job. It took forever to get tickets and snacks. Also, what theater doesn’t have matinee prices for a 1:30 showing? The theater was FREEZING cold! Upon leaving we decided to spend more money to get some snacks for the road, only to be told that refills only come with large drinks. We had already purchased 2 mediums for almost $7 each! When i spoke with the manager Chad P. (Who we had to wait 10 minutes on because his employees couldn’t find him, he was probably freezing out more guests in other theaters) He was very nonchalant, and didn’t care at all when i told him a very poor review was coming. If i spend almost $50 at a movie theater for tickets, popcorn, and drinks, the least i should do is be able to get a refill! When he saw how angry i was towards the end he tried to offer a refill out of pity. I declined because that wasn’t the nature of my gripe. It was that he should have been out there to assist the terrible workers that were scheduled that day, and they really need to work on their customer service skills. We will NOT be back to that run down, over priced theater. It’s in too nice of an area to look as...
Read moreALWAYS PURCHASE TICKETS ONLINE!!! My family saved me from lines wrapped around the building because I purchased my tickets online first. Upon entering, all employees leave the ticket window like to work concession. Meaning, you're in the endless line with people purchasing food to purchase your ticket. How it makes since to Regal is extremely questionable. Why have the ticket window if your forcing customers to the concession lines? Its ridiculous! Had no one told me to purchase online I'd be waiting 30 minutes just to buy a ticket from the looks of it. Not to mention EVERY customer in line will kill you with stares, if they even think you're cutting lines. Which says alot about the service and their experience. Its $12 per adult ticket and $9 for children. With so many block buster hits out and coming soon, I dont see Regal struggling for sales, so hire more people to work the ticket window. My neck hurt trying to enjoy the movie in the recliner chairs. When I tried to recline my chair my goodness it squeaked so loud and struggled to move I didnt want to be the person ruining it for everyone else. Lastly, the bathroom was awful. Granted people treat public restrooms like a red headed step child, but come on! All in all, my visit to regal was so, so. I'll stick to my side of town. Contrary to popular belief of the Far Eastside AMC Washington st. Is...
