I recently had the pleasure of visiting Foothill Cinema Stadium 10 - Azusa to watch "Fast X" in May 2023. This place is perfect if you're looking for an affordable movie theater experience with some sweet discounts. Here's a breakdown of my experience:
Ticketing and Pricing: Regular tickets are priced at $6.50 for showtimes before 6pm and $8.50 for showtimes after 6pm. Luxury Seating tickets have a $1.00 surcharge on top of the ticket price. Discount Sundays offer tickets for $5.00 (excluding holidays that fall on Sundays). Additionally, there is a $3.00 surcharge for 3D movies on top of the ticket price. If you purchase tickets online such as the Regency Theaters website, there is a $1 processing fee per ticket. To save a few dollars, it's advisable to buy tickets in person, although there is a slight risk of preferred seats being taken. You will need to show your tickets regardless at the concession stand in order to find out which theater you have to be in. In this specific theater, there are no kids or seniors discount for the tickets because they are already very cheap to begin with. You will not find a movie theater around the area that is cheaper than this.
Parking and Accessibility: Free parking conveniently located at the front of the theater. To access the parking lot, it is one way only so enter from N Citrus Avenue, where a sign that says "Cinema Parking" will guide you. If the front parking area is full, there is plenty of free parking available off Citrus and Alosta within the Citrus Crossing plaza. Nevertheless, for safety reasons, I recommend parking at the front whenever possible.
Concession Stand: Once inside the theater, the concession stand serves a variety of small to large popcorn, food, and drink options. I've attached a picture of the menu, and compared to an average AMC theater, this theater offers prices that are $1 to $2 cheaper. A large popcorn costs $9 and a large drink costs $6.75.
Screen Quality and Seating: Considering Foothill Cinema Stadium 10 - Azusa is a budget theater, the screen in our Auditorium 2 provided a satisfactory viewing experience. However, the reclining seats showed signs of age and wear, with the chair coverings peeling off. This lack of maintenance is something to be mindful of.
Temperature and Comfort: During our visit, we experienced some discomfort related to the theater's temperature control. The AC in Auditorium 2 seemed to be either turned off or set to a high temperature, resulting in a hot and sticky environment. It is recommended that the theater staff pay attention to adjusting the temperature to provide a more comfortable movie-watching experience.
Overall Experience: Foothill Cinema Stadium 10 - Azusa offers an affordable option for a family outing, date night, or a casual movie-watching experience. While the theater has some drawbacks, such as aging seating and temperature issues in Auditorium 2, it provides decent screen quality, convenient parking, and wallet-friendly prices. If you're seeking an inexpensive way to enjoy a film for an hour or two, I would recommend giving this...

If you're considering visiting this theater, allow me to save you both time and money: Don't. What masquerades as a "luxury" experience is, in reality, a masterclass in mediocrity and mismanagement.
Let's start with their supposedly premium seating, which resembles the aftermath of a Thundercats battle royale. The chairs, bearing the scars of what I can only assume are years of neglect, inspire so little confidence that I found myself questioning if I should sit down. The "cushioning"—and I use that term loosely—appears to have long since surrendered to the laws of physics, leaving patrons to question if they're sitting on padding or plywood.
When I inquired about another theater, I encountered a management style that could best be described as aggressively apathetic. While the gentleman taking tickets was quite courteous, the manager's response to my concerns was indifferent. Her demeanor suggested that customer satisfaction ranked somewhere between "optional" and "irrelevant" on her priority list. When I had to suggest alternative seating arrangements, it became clear that problem-solving wasn't part of the management training.
But the coup de grâce? The actual viewing experience. The stadium seating – my self-suggested alternative to the Thunder Dome options – proved marginally better, but what followed was a technical presentation that would make early 2000s YouTube videos look like IMAX. The resolution was a dim, murky projection, and the feature presentation, displayed in what appeared to be 360p resolution, transformed what should have been a cinematic experience into an exercise in visual archaeology.
If you're still reading this, consider it your public service announcement: Save yourself the frustration and head to AMC instead. This theater has managed to make a trip to the DMV seem like a better experience in comparison.
In a time when many bemoan the decline of customer service standards, this establishment seems determined to lower the bar even further. They've ensured that my last three ticket purchases will remain just that—my last.
One star out of five, and that's only because zero...
Read moreI had the most horrible experience at the this theater, today. Never have I heard of theaters checking your purses. It is not only unprofessional but extremely insulting. I came in today and was instructed to open my purse. I refused, and I was told that if I didn't comply, i would not be allowed to enter, although I had already purchased my ticket. After deciding to comply, I opened my purse as did the people with me and of course we didn't have any weapons, recorders or outside food. I expressed my disapproval to the manager, Enrique, and was met with pure and utter dismissiveness. He couldn't care less. He offered no explanation, nor a shred of decency. When I asked him for his first and last name, he gave only his first and refused his last citing it was personal information. However, truth be told, as the manager not only should he have given his last name but he should have also offered a business card. I further let him know my displeasure and mentioned that the cashier's window should notify people that their purses will be checked so that they know PRIOR to purchasing a ticket. I am a frequent moviegoer, and I have never been treated so poorly and with such unwarranted suspicion in my life. The $7 matinee prices are not hardly with the trouble. I'd rather pay the $11.50 matinee prices at a more courteous and reputable theater. No to mention their screens very small in comparison to other theaters in the movie theater market. I felt as though I was sitting at home watching the movie. HORRIBLE experience. DO NOT waste your money at this theater. And the manager, Enrique, is in need of a few customer...
