Unpleasant experience at this store this afternoon. I bought 4 ceramic pots, 2 large and 2 medium, and a cement owl and a ceramic rabbit, and something else. A young unfriendly male cashier put those small things in a plastic bag, and left 4 pots on the counter. Usually in most all other stores, cashier help wrap fragile staff. Upon my request, he gave me a big plastic bag. I put the 4 pots into the bag, apparently it was not safe for one bag to hold those heavy pots. I asked for another bag. He refused and said that IT WAS THEIR POLICY that “one customer can only have one large plastic bag”. As it was raining heavily outside and Ross would not allow their cart out of the door, it was really unsafe to carry those heave pots in a plastic bag to my car. I requested 3 times, he repeated their policy. Later I said to him if I broke those pots, it would be yours. Later he gave me a small bag, which could hardly hold those pots. I just want to know for sure if it is true that it is Ross’ policy. Apparently not, it does not make any sense. If it is not true, I want to know why he was lying, or found an excuse not...
Read moreRude customer service at the register. Lady working there with black and gray hair and reading glasses on her head was really rude. She worked the register on Tuesday 7/2 or Wednesday 7/3, I can’t remember which day but man was she rude. All because I was returning a used hand pump with the receipt and ticket still attached. It was defective and she was rude by saying to read the return policy and that they don’t take back used items. Tell me something, how else was I supposed to know it was going to be defective, unless I pour soap and use it? You act like it’s coming out of your paycheck by returning a $7 hand defective hand pump. Upper management needs to remind her to better understand case by case scenarios when accepting returns. Tell me, please. Educate me on how else was I supposed to know that I was going to purchase a defective...
Read moreThe Ross is Azusa is a mess, looks worse than a thrift store. Under staffed and under stocked, so we had to drive to the one in San Dimas, which was actually cleaner, but not by much. They seriously need to hire more staff. Ross use to be one of my favorite stores to shop in, but unfortunately has been failing in merchandise stock, cleanliness.... there's about three staff members at one time? They're unable to keep up with the demands of the stores. According to management, it's Corporate unwillingness to hire more people and instead expect one person to do the job of three. Either Ross Corporate needs to step up, or they will be joining the many department stores going...
