My recent visit to 1000 Degrees Pizza left much to be desired. The pizza was ok. I didn't expect it to be the best pizza I ever had. The aroma of freshly baked pizza was overshadowed by the pungent odor of cigarette smoke permeating the air. It was disheartening to witness an employee indulging in a smoke break just outside the entrance with the door wide open, allowing the smoke to waft inside, tarnishing what could have been an enjoyable dining experience.
Not only was the smell off-putting, but it also detracted from the overall ambiance of the restaurant. As a customer, I expect to be greeted with appetizing scents and a pleasant environment, not the foul stench of cigarettes. It's concerning that the management would allow such behavior, as it reflects poorly on the establishment and shows a lack of consideration for non-smoking patrons.
Furthermore, aside from the olfactory assault, the presence of cigarette smoke poses health risks to both customers and employees alike. Secondhand smoke is a well-documented health hazard, and exposing individuals to it in a dining setting is simply unacceptable.
In conclusion, my experience at 1000 Degrees Pizza was marred by the unpleasant presence of cigarette smoke, courtesy of an employee's careless smoking habits. Until measures are taken to address this issue and ensure a smoke-free environment for all patrons, I cannot in good conscience recommend this...
Read more1000 Degrees is a great little space especially for lunch. I’ve been twice so far and both times have gotten a 6 piece wing and a side salad. The wings are satisfying (while not the most amazing) and come in several flavors. I will note that I ordered the flavor Crimson Heat and definitely got bbq (I’d ordered the bbq ones on my first trip in store).
The side salad is great and honestly could be an entire meal itself if you have a smaller appetite like me. You can choose from three greens options for your base and add in 3 veggies, croutons if you want, and a dressing with the ability to add in any additional item (including meats) for $1.00 each. They also sell whole salads and have preset options or build your own style. The setup is like Chipotle but with “American” foods.
For location, the store I visited in Baltimore is located in Middle East just under two blocks from Johns Hopkins Medical at Eager Park. They play fun r&b music, the location is clean, and the furniture is modern. The aesthetic of the shop is clean and I will definitely be coming here often for quick lunch options. I have yet to try their pizza selections but they come just like the salads with byo or preset menu items and are brick oven roasted. Definitely plan on trying these and i would recommend 1000 degrees for...
Read more2nd time getting a salad here, particularly because I enjoyed the salad and service so much the first time (plus I didn’t want to have to park and go into JHH to get a salad from Balducci’s). Well to make a potentially long story short, I got the exact same order, the Tuscan salad, both times but they were nothing alike. First time was a nice hearty salad, with all the ingredients listed. Well the “Tuscan” salad I just got today could be no more than the size of a side salad, in which few droppings of fresh tomatoes were thrown in instead of the sundried tomatoes the recipe calls for, and “balsamic vinaigrette” looks and tastes more like Italian. Need consistency! Glad I didn’t call up all my coworkers to collect...
