To start this off I would like to apologize if this may become a bit of a lengthy review.
I don't vacation to Baltimore often, but when this trip I was dragged along by a family member to this what I will call a diamond in the rough. Please do not consider this choose to be any type of discouragement from visiting this restaurant. It was definitely a treat overall.
To keep things clear I will go over each different part of my experience separately so you have a clear understanding of how I felt. I'm going to start off with my appetizer. I began my eating experience with the brussel sprouts and the crab cake slider dish. I would like to mention that both of these were recommended by my server. Now I know there are hundreds of thousands of people who could tell you all of the horror stories about their relationship with brussel sprouts as a kid but can I please say that this restaurants brussel sprouts will completely clean the slate! These brussel sprouts came out with steam coming off of them and that overall is a huge plus because everyone loves hot food but the taste of these sweet and almost mildly savory little vegetables were divine. They did appear as if they had a surplus of fried crumbles on the dish but I assume that something that happens when the brussel sprouts are flaking in the fryer. So I could not hold that against them. As for the crab cake sliders I give a two thumbs up and if I could buy another hand possibly three. When you visit Maryland everyone wants to make sure that they have the perfect crab cake. Or a decent crab cake none the less because tons of restaurants try to emulate a decent crab cake but it's not a successful accomplishment in the end. This restaurants crab cakes were completely full of crab meat. They were beautifully broiled as well. They completely made me forget about the fact thatI was supposed to visit another restaurant in which I thought had my favorite crab cake.
Next I would like to discuss my entree which was a lemon ravioli Italian dish. Please forgive me for forgetting the actual name of the dish. I chose this dish because there was a table next to mine that had already ordered the entree and I was completely caught off guard by its beautiful appearance. This is now where the star gets taken away. Unfortunately when my aunt re reached my table the entree looked nothing like the entree I saw on the other. Where this other woman's pasta was dry or at least not soupy as mine came out. I'm very picky about my Italian dishes especially when it comes to sauce because I'm not a person who likes my pasta overpowered by the sauce that's put on top. This large amount of sauce beaded very difficult for me to appreciate the taste and texture of all the other parts of the entree. Overall I will say that the entree still did taste good. Empathisis on good. But not consistent.
Next I would like to bring everything back to the service that I received. My server who I'm going to call M right now in fear of spelling someone's wrong. I believe I heard other associates calling him Manny. He was very charismatic. He had a very nice combination of funny and candid which me and my sister truly appreciated. I will say he did seem a little exasperated but there was a large volume of traffic at the restaurant at the time. My sister was very impressed by the fact that she seemed to be able to catch him smiling at at least every table he approached. So I would like to give a large thanks 2 forgive me if it's wrong Emmanuel for the pleasant service. A huge A+ to you. And forgive me if that seems as if it's an under simplification of how awesome you did.
Little things that I did notice for instance like the hostess that's at us seemed what I would call disconnected but that was also better than the hostess that was standing at the host and and didn't acknowledge us until another hostess walked up to us. The time that it took to receive our food was slightly lengthy but I won't hold that against them due to how busy it was.
Overall I had a great time... And you will...
Read moreOn 7/21/25, I ate at 16 on the Park, at Residence Inn Baltimore. When I arrived the female server, told me I could sit anywhere, which I did. There were only two servers, male & female, both AA. I sit there 10 minutes or longer & I wasn't given water or anything. Then a couple came in, sit out on the roof & I saw the female within 5 minutes taking them two glasses of water, I was so upset. The male server was busy attending the bar & waiting on other customers.
IDK if I was sitting in his area or her area for service, but I felt slighted by both of them. The male server finally came over and said no one has served you, he knew that as there wasn't any water or silverware on my table. I was very frustrated by now; this was my first time coming to this restaurant. I told him exactly how I felt about the service I had received thus far.
I ordered the Crab Cake platter & Rice Pilaf was good, the sauteed Spinach was okat. If I ever go back to this restaurant & they are the servers, I will make my exit. No customer should receive this type of treatment. My friend said I should have asked to speak to the manager,...
Read more#harrasment allowed here...As we are entering the restaurant, one of the guests grabbed my son with force and my 5 years old son grimaces and said he got hurt. Upon talking to customer service or the manager, it was a lady and a men, they totally denied and said the person just grabbed him to get out of the way. They were disrespectful in interrupting and negating our feeling and our young boy feeling of being touched aggressively by a stranger. People who deal with customers need to be sensitive to such situations and be fair in listening. That person was with us in the elevator and looked concerning in his/her attitude towards kids. I tried to explain to the waiter/manager that they can not know the feeling of the touch themselves, it is perceived by the other. I do not expect trained professional people in a hotel restaurant to be disrespectful to peoples feeling and true perception of their son being hurt. They did not apologize for this happening and just said that the guy did not hurt my boy just grabbed. upon leaving they wanted to offer free meals ... For sure we did not accept.#unprofessional...
