Things to do in Maryland/ Maryland indoor activities Maryland Science Center 📍601 Light St, Baltimore, MD 21230 📆 Open Wednesday-Sunday. Closed Monday & Tuesday. ⏰Wednesday-Friday 10am-4pm. Saturday-Sunday 10am-5pm 💰Admission: Adult $26.95 Child 3-12 years: $20.95 Seniors $25.95. ⭐️I recommend getting a membership if you plan on visiting more than once. Groupon usually has sales for family passes. 🅿️ We always try to grab street parking at: 📍30 E. Lee Street which is $9 if you arrive before 10am. Theres also parking at: 📍414 Light Street parking for $12 with a voucher from the science center. 🍔 You are able to bring your own food in and eat at the cafeteria or they have food that they sale. ⭐️ The Maryland Science Center has three floors which include exhibits such as math in nature, life beyond earth, dinosaur mysteries, a kids room, demonstrations, classes (including homeschool classes) events, adults only events and more! Check out their website for a list of events.

So, I just had my wife's surprise bday party (7/6/19) at the MSC rooftop and we could not have asked for any better venue, food, drinks or service. I had been working with Meghan, who is in charge of rentals, since October. She was the best. She helped me pick out the menu, well actually, she picked it out and I just approved it. The food she picked was fantastic. Every time I came to visit and plan for the party she was there providing advice at every turn. Not once did I feel as if I were a bother. I came so much Eddie at the front desk knew me by name and was always willing to help or get me up to the rooftop. On the day of the event Meghan, who had been with me at every turn, could not attend due to a personal engagement out of town. However, in her stead was Renita and Darrick. Darrick and Renita were the greatest. Days before the event rain was called for but Renita and Darrick reassured me we would be fine even if it rained. I even called them the day before and the day of to make a decision and they again reassured we were fine. Yes, it rained and not once did it stop our party. The entire staff (butlers, bartenders, security) worked instantly to respond to the rain. We never knew it was raining because the staff responded so fast and closed the tent walls. The rain definitely did not put a damper on our parade. Every guest told us they loved the drinks, the food, and the STAFF! I am now trying to come up with another event just to have it at the MSC rooftop because everything was amazing and yes even in the rain.

So, if you are reading this to decide if you should have an event here or not, I can say with great certainty that this is where you want to have your event. You cannot beat the view, staff, service, food or drink.

Meghan, Renita, Darrick and Eddie you and your crew are the best. I can't wait to work with you all again! Thank you for one of the most fun and memorable parties ever.

BTW the photos with this reviews are photos my photographer took not stock photos. They had it set up so nice it was damn near impossible to take a bad...

A Marvelous Neighbor and Educational Gem

One of the things that stands out about the Maryland Science Center is its incredible dedication to making science fun and accessible for all ages. From interactive exhibits exploring outer space, the human body, and marine life, to live science demonstrations and even an IMAX theater, the opportunities to learn and be entertained are boundless.

The staff at the Maryland Science Center deserves a special mention for their warm hospitality and extensive knowledge. Approachable and passionate, they have consistently gone above and beyond to ensure visitors have an enriching experience. Their expertise shines through in the way they engage with patrons, answering questions, and guiding discussions, truly bringing science to life in the most engaging manner.

Additionally, the Maryland Science Center's prime location by Rash Field and the promenade adds to its allure. A short, pleasant walk down the promenade from Ammoora Restaurant. The beautiful waterfront views and the lively atmosphere of the surrounding area make the entire experience even more enjoyable and it's a pleasure to have such a marvelous establishment in our neighborhood.

In conclusion, the Maryland Science Center is a shining star among Baltimore's cultural and educational offerings. Whether you're a student, a science enthusiast, or just someone seeking a fun and enlightening experience, this place has it all. The warmth, knowledge, and innovation radiating from the Maryland Science Center's staff and exhibits are truly outstanding. I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to this marvelous neighbor; it's a scientific adventure...

The Maryland Science Center in Baltimore is a must-visit destination for families and science enthusiasts. Located on the beautiful Inner Harbor, it offers interactive exhibits, an IMAX theater, and a planetarium that make learning fun and engaging for all ages.

Key highlights include Newton’s Alley, where you can experiment with physics concepts, and Dinosaur Mysteries, featuring life-sized skeletons and fossil digs. Kids will love the Kids Room, designed for children under 8, with water tables and science-themed activities. The Davis Planetarium offers captivating shows about space and the stars, while the IMAX theater immerses you in stunning science and nature documentaries.
