My family and I were in town for a long weekend. It was raining and we walked to Tre Fratelli from our hotel. I will start off by saying the staff was extremely friendly and the place was busy. We ordered a pizza, the Maryland crab soup and chicken francaise along with chicken tenders and fries for the kids.
The Maryland Crab soup was really good. Great start to the meal. The kitchen was working hard pushing food out as we could see everything from our table. Lots of to-go orders as well.
The pizza and chicken francaise came out and looked great but there were some issues. The biggest issue was the pizza had so much cheese on it it was super greasy and not crispy except for the crust. My wife ate 1 slice and the rest was unappealing. The dough seemed undercooked due to all the cheese on it. We left 80% of the pizza uneaten.
My chicken francaise tasted good however I didn't realize when I ordered it that the pasta was penne. The penne pasta didn't work with the sauce. The light sauce didn't cling to the pasta. If I knew I would have changed it to spaghetti or angel hair but it comes with penne and it didn't work.
Due to the pizza being inedible and the pasta choice I have to give it 3 stars. Just a few tweaks and it would be better. My recommendations would be order the pizza light on the cheese and order the chicken francaise with a different pasta choice like spaghetti...
Read moreAfter reading all the positive reviews I knew I had to try this place and I was not disappointed. I had a great experience getting carry out and can’t wait to come back here and dine in.
I ordered the tortellini tre salsa which is cheese ravioli in a mix of marinara, pesto, and Alfredo sauces. Upon getting home with my food, the first thing I noticed was how carefully it had been packaged. I don’t think I’ve ever noticed this with other places I’ve gotten carry out but the attention to detail definitely showed here. The second thing I noticed was the generous portion size. We’re talking a large dinner plate size container. You can see this in the picture (7 oz beer for scale). The tortellini also came with a roll.
I have to say, I was a little skeptical of all the 5 star reviews right up until I tasted the food. Let me tell you, this pasta is the truth. The tortellini themselves were flavorful and cooked perfectly. The sauce was uniquely delicious and excellently balanced. Seriously some of the best pasta I’ve eaten in recent memory. Given the quality and portion size, I would definitely say this is a reasonable deal for ~$17. I can’t wait to come back here to try their pizza and...
Read moreTruly a delightful dining experience from start to finish. We found Tre-Fratelli online, were impressed by the reviews and thought it would be the perfect place for our first meal in Baltimore and we were right! Booked reservations online, quickly received a confirmation and Miguel greeted us warmly when we arrived. Being from out of state, we didn't know how BYOB worked and were tickled when Miguel expertly pointed us to a package store a few doors down since we arrived with nothing in hand. 5 minutes later we were back in the restaurant with cold adult beverages of our choice and settled in to enjoy our meals. Food was excellent! My husband and I split a Caesar Salad to start, followed by Chicken Parmesan and Chicken & Shrimp Arrebiata, both cooked to perfection. Pictures may not do it justice but the steam is coming off the freshly cooked meal. Portions were VERY generous with us both having enough leftovers for another meal. We were full but couldn't resist trying their desserts so we took Tiramisu and Oreo Cake to go..very much enjoyed later that evening. Thank you Miguel for your great service and rest of team for a lovely...
