Pros -- The view was AMAZING! We were on the 8th floor facing the harbor, and I couldn't have picked a better view. We could see the aquarium, science center and all the boats... sunrise was absolutely beautiful. The room was large, bed was comfortable. Bathroom was very spacious, which is appreciated. Thanks to Annette and Michelle for the excellent customer service. We were there for our 20th anniversary and were surprised by champagne & chocolate covered strawberries delivered to our room, which was a really thoughtful gesture. The location of the hotel was why we booked initially. The proximity to all the sights is super convenient. Everything is within walking distance, and we were back and forth between the hotel and the sights for 2 days. The car stayed in the garage. There's an indoor pool and outdoor terrace on the 7th floor. The coffee bar in the lobby is convenient. They also offer pastries and breakfast sandwiches. The hotel itself is gorgeous and has this very "old money" feel that is inviting. Overall, I had a very nice stay and would definitely recommend. Cons - Our room, 851, bordered the elevators, and it was SO NOISY. If we had been staying longer than 2 nights, I would have definitely requested another room, as it was practically non-stop from about 5am to 11pm. It slowed down overnight, but there was never a time I didn't hear it. I recommend the hotel provides earplugs for those rooms that border the elevator, as it's pretty distracting when trying to sleep. The bed is really comfortable, so it actually takes away from the relaxing experience you should have in a lovely room like that. Parking is not free and a bit of a walk from your room. My room didn't have a microwave. Not sure if any of them do, but it's something I am pretty used to having, even in the more economy hotels. There are a bunch of really good (and pricey) restaurants nearby, and I like the option of reheating my meals later that night or the next day if I didn't finish. This wasn't an option, which was disappointing. That being said, I would still come back and stay here again. Just not in a room near the elevator.

A perfect hotel directly across from the harbor. We pretty much had the hotel to ourselves during Xmas Eve and Xmas. Baltimore is lovely in winter. Really good deal on Expedia so I grabbed a king room with harbor view. I do suggest a harbor view room. The city lights are beautiful. Restaurants are walkable. A great place for breakfast is Blue Moon Cafe, 10 minute walk. When we checked out , we walked into the hotel cafe to grab coffees. The server seemed to have an attitude with me right off the bat. She was not cordial. Maybe a bit annoyed that she worked Xmas morning ?? Idk. Maybe my skin color ?? (White) idk. The cafe won’t be an option next time. The restaurant upstairs , however , was a different story. The server was wonderful. So cordial. So helpful. And she makes the best dirty martini - definitely top five in my book. The valet was $50 per day. And the valet agent was so sweet and personable. Crystal, front desk, was absolutely lovely. She checked on my request for a room above the 4th floor. (I like to avoid street noise). However, she said the 8th would be the only option but not available. Which I thought was odd. Because the hotel clientele was scarce . Anyway, 4th was fine. We did have the option to upgrade to the 5th and 6th floors at an additional rate of $50 a night. No thanks. We didn’t accept housekeeping as we were there only 2 nights. We went to have a look at the pool, whirlpool and decided not to because there was a strong smell of weed. And 20 something’s hanging at the whirlpool having a great time. So we left. Not our style. I checked the sauna and hoped to use it the next day but we were busy. The area looked very clean though. The bed was very comfortable. 4 pillows. The room was large. Very clean and no odor. Centrally located near the aquarium etc. I highly recommend it. For December Our room came to about $400 fir two nights with valet parking

Review of Royal Sonesta Harbor Court || Dont believe the hype || ||I'll be honest the reviews seemed great and the pictures amazing from the web page the picture that google shows isnt the actual front. Youre across the street from the harbor.||No water that close and ||It also claims to be a 4 star hotel. . I will be leaving a review with yelp as well. ||However this was our experience ||My partner is Retired military. Asked for the id card no problem. Didn't thank him for his service. ||||Check in|| Sept 11. 2025 4 pm||Checked out|| Sept 12,2025 6:45 am||We were charged twice the first charge is the $299.75||After we checked out we were told I have to use a actual credit card as the debit /credit card was just for holding the room.||The second charge i received was the 251.75||( two different charges entirely ) when I called to request they give my money back on the 299.99 one they told me that i had to take it up with finance dept on Tuesday as they only showed the one charge of 251.75 not the second one even with the confirmation number is gave them. ||With a military discount ||Taxes, fees, etc ||That was going through the company. Not a third party booking agent. ||||I don't recommend this hotel for the following reasons||First we paid for Valet parking. Which was $45.00||It was- "LEFT UNLOCKED!".Apparently all night. -||after we checked out and wanted the key back . It was where is your key tag. * it was in his hand he wouldnt give the key to me until i sent my partner for it. |||| It's not updated interior wise. ||Carpet is the 70s-80s era look. The amenities arent worth the price. The installation isn't quality cause we could hear the neighbors having quality time. The bed squeaks getting out of it. ||We had the connecting room bang on the wall and told stop racket from the bed noises. ||The water pressure is lacking regardless if its the tub or shower. Theres no hot water. Just lukewarm even when you only have the hot water on. I took a bath at 430pm after a 4 pm check in Lukewarm water. Tub did drain. ||-Picture 2 still full tub||The tub didnt drain after my attempted hot water soak. That was at 7pm ish|| It's now 1032 pm and the tub isn't drained yet||-Update it did drain close to 1am ||I originally booked it because it was harbor facing.|| My outside view is picture is the temu looking || Huge mirrored beehive complete with fake bee's||Gave disco ball vibes-||||The valet is a separate charge as is the garage ||||The garage attached to the hotel isn't theirs its an *independent contractor:You pay regardless for parking. The height limit is 6 foot 8 in the garage.||the truck isn't taller then that. We parked in 2 different parking garages with that height without issue ||||When asked the garage where we would have to park.after he yelled at us to back up . All the way back as we were too big to park in the garage. ( Nissan Titan ProX4 ) not big. || He said around back. ( wrong answer)||So we had to pay the valet to park the truck in front. ||||The fridge isn't cold. I put 2 bottles of water 1 coke and a small bottle of milk (pint) in the fridge at 5 pm at 8pm they were cool not cold.||Getting them from the 711 was colder then the fridge||Picture ||There was a bug in the bottom of the fridge. The ice build up suggests it hasn't been defrosted in a minute. ||The towel bar is bent. It was bent to start with. ||They gave bottles of water to you. With a $6.00 each tag ||Add in there is no clear sign showing where ice is. ||All im never doing it nor...

This hotel was a real disappointment – we won’t stay here again.||||On the positive side, the location is great for visiting the Inner Harbor, or walking to Camden Yards. ||||During a 4-night stay in a 6th floor premium king room overlooking the harbor, just about everything else let us down.||||Upon arriving in our room, we noticed sequins on the floor from a previous guest. We mentioned it to the front desk on more than one occasion, and they were still there when we left 3 nights later. Either the staff didn’t vacuum, or overlooked them with a cursory cleaning.||||The hot water in the bathroom was very warm, but not hot. I could leave my hand directly underneath the faucet with the hot water running without having to move it. This made for a lukewarm shower. I mentioned it to the front desk, but nothing changed.||||The water pressure in our 6th floor room was insufficient to allow us to use the handheld shower for anything more than a light rinse.||||After one night, the in-mirror lighting began blinking intermittently. I mentioned it to the front desk more than once – including showing them a video. There was evidence that someone came to look at it while we were out, but it was still blinking when we checked out.||||The hotel did a total replacement of its sofabeds while we were there. A half-inch splinter was left behind on our carpet after they left our room (we were there when it was changed). I’m glad I didn’t find it with my foot.||||The restaurant is only open for breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays. When we arrived at about 9:00 AM Sunday morning, there were only 4 guests present. The staff let us know that if we wanted a quick breakfast, we might prefer the first floor café. We chose to stay and have a sit-down breakfast. To say that the service was slow would be a gross understatement. Though the staff was friendly, it took us nearly a half-hour to get eggs, bacon and pancakes. (We were later informed that the kitchen was slow due to having to wait for city approval on a newly-installed gas line. They should have either informed us how long breakfast would take, or closed the restaurant.)||||There was a large pile of linens left in a corner of the hallway overnight during our last night’s stay.||||Overall, I think attention to detail is grossly lacking. There are lots of other choices along the Inner Harbor – we’ll try another one next time. (I did share all of this with the Director of Operations prior...

Nice and very spacious room. Bathroom was nice, although not fancy. Shampoo/conditioner dispensers in the shower rather than minis, which does not bother me. The room has a separate entryway area with the closet, bathroom and small counter area with mini fridge and coffee maker. The ceiling light in this area was out, which was a bit inconvenient. One of the shades was also not appropriately clipped into the thing on the track, so it was really hard to get one half of the shade open. Location is great and prices seem reasonable.

So overall good experience with the room, but three stars because of our experience with the front desk and overall way the hotel is run. We had reserved a deluxe king room more than 2 months in advance. I checked in and only found out we were assigned a room with two queen beds after getting up to the room. I was not told by the front desk person who checked us in or asked if this was ok. Considering the hotel charges a higher rate for a king room than a room with two queens - it’s pretty BS. I drag all of my luggage back down to the front desk, only to be told they couldn’t change my room because they had no rooms left with a king bed. It was the night before a Ravens game so I initially believed this, but it isn’t my problem if you oversold the room type, and so the front desk person asked me to wait for his manager so resolve things. Thankfully the hotel manager sorted things out—after I waited for 30 minutes in the lobby with all of my luggage as they were busy dealing with another disgruntled guest. We were given a harbor view king room, which is same size/layout room but technically an upgrade because the room is on the harbor side of the hotel. But we did end up on a lower floor compared to our original room, next to the busy road where road traffic was actually fairly loud in our room, and couldn’t see the harbor anyways because our view was lower than the trees that lined the road. While this was nice that we ended up with an “upgrade” that we couldn’t care less about (honestly would have just preferred a quieter room on the other side of the hotel), it also angers me that clearly the first person lied about there being no rooms with king beds left. If they had informed me at time of check in about the room problem, I would be more understanding, but it’s rude to assume a guest who booked a king room would be just ok with...
