I'm a retired Blind Rehabilitation Specialist. Their bartender makes fun of the disabled and bullies people like me. You won't believe what Noknoi said after her response to my post. EDITED (1/15/25) I believed
Noknoi just messaged me this: "We consider your post, harassment and bullying. Any further attempts to contact us will be sent to the authorities." I have video to show the owner. I'm a repeat customer. I got messy hair in the rain. I had just driven up from Portland, and hadn't had alcohol all day.
8:10 I pulled up outside and saw 2 lighted signs that said OPEN, so I parked. Some days they close at 9. I didn't know when last call was, but the live music was still going and the place was full (bar seats were packed and 6 people were at the tables). I thought I had at least enough time for 1 drink and a take away home a dessert. I also wanted to ask if open mic night was still happening on New Years.
Being a woman alone, I didn't want to leave my drink unattended while I was in the bathroom, so I went to the bathroom first. Also, I was just finishing a long drive from Portland. I had to go! When I came out of the bathroom door, the bartender was waiting right as I was trying to come out of the bathroom door. The customers were giving me the "side eye", but I don't know what he had said to them when I was in the bathroom. He said, "That bathroom is only for MY customers." I was embarrassed. I thought, he just probably thinks that I didn't plan on spending money. I said, "I'm ordering." He said, "We're closed." He started repeating, "Just Go" "The sign says closed now" "What?! You don't believe me that we're closed?" and Repeating it over and over to keep me from talking. I just stammered and trembled. The live music was still playing. There were 2 musicians, 4 customers sitting at a table, 3 sitting at the bar, but he wanted me to leave IMMEDIATELY. I wasn't allowed to ask about open mic night, ask about ordering a dessert to go, sit and listen to the music, talk to other patrons, etc.
The patrons were staring at us as he started making fun of my hand tremors. The more nervous I got, the worse my tremors got. Infront of the other customers he asked me loudly if I needed my meds. It was obvious from his attitude that he wasn't expressing genuine concerned. He was just mocking me about my tremors. He wouldn't stop badgering me.
I saw Noknoi's son. I asked Zak to come over and talk to me. I started explaining to him about how I just made an innocent mistake about their closing time. The bartender said, "Don't you think you should have checked online before coming in". I kept trying talk2 Zak about how his mom wouldn't do this and she wouldn't approve of any one treating her customers like this for such a flimsy excuse.
Meanwhile the bartender kept on shrugging, shaking his head, and looking between the customers and me like I was a weirdo because I couldn't stop my tremors. He influenced the customers and they giving me angry stares.
Zak said I could order a drink. By this time I was starting to cry. I found out that his mom wasn't coming back till opening the next day, so I just left. The live music was still playing...
Read moreI’d like to preface this with I have never left a bad review in my life, but this experience at 2 Feet warrants that. We came into Bangor to catch a quick bite to eat before catching a flight. My mom googled a few places and chose this place because it seemed inclusive, good food and what we thought would be a chill vibe. The second we walked in the door the waitress w blond curly hair was immediately condescending and rude. My family and I have never been treated so rudely. I’ve waited tables for over 20 years and was completely floored at her rudeness, eye rolls, it was actually gross. If I had been there on my own, I would have called her out in a second, BUT, I was w my genuinely kind family and they accepted her nasty attitude. The food was decent. In addition to her nastiness, the service was despicable. We asked for ice tea, she brings us a half cup of tea and then when asked for ice she brings one cup to the table and says we should split it amongst ourselves. Like what? My kid orders chicken tenders no sauce, she goes well what does he want we don’t have ketchup? Huh, no one asked for catch-up, but ok weird. Then the kind man that brought our food goes would you like ketchup w your tenders? Again, like what? know it’s a brewery, but are you serious. I would never ever return and will relay this experience to everyone I know. Never in my life have I felt the urge to run out of a restaurant before eating....
Read moreWas visiting from out of town with my parents and we had a really lovely time. This place is definitely a cozy vibe, and has so much character. The beers were unique, interesting, and fun. I had the Barn Burner which was a little spicy but not unbearably and had really good flavor. The food was classic pub food with a twist - no complaints, very tasty! When we were visiting, most of the folks there were locals. The bar owner, staff, and customers were all incredibly nice. I had mentioned in passing that we were in town traveling to celebrate my birthday and a while later they brought me dessert and everyone in the bar sang happy birthday. It was so inclusive and lovely and really appreciated. It was also open mic night so local musicians were playing music including a couple covers as well as original songs they had written themselves. It was such a great time. Next time I'm in Bangor, I will...
