The Labrynth Games — Attraction in Baraboo

I never write reviews, but I had a great experience at this shop last weekend. First off I’m a nerd at heart so walking in to this place was nerd overload heaven for me. So my wife and I were camping at Merry Macs campground and unfortunately like most camping weekends it started to rain. So we decided to go find some entertainment to keep us busy if the rain help up. The selection of board games in the shop was fantastic. Unfortunately they did not have the specific game that my wife wanted and I went on a treasure hunt/fools errand for. However this is where the shop really shined for me. I asked the owner if he could make any suggestions on board games that weren’t too overly complex and could be played by two players. I understand it’s not easy to suggest two player games but he gave me some great suggestions, which I bought 3 of the 4… and let me tell you… the wife and I had a blast last weekend and all she wants to do now is play those games.

So Mr. Owner if you see this. Thanks for the suggestions, thanks for taking the time to help me, thanks for having an awesome shop, and thanks for the great customer service!

Ps - the games were Jaipur, the mini cards where you guess timelines, and Carcassonne....

Just came in today and spent just about $1000 on 5 boxes no deals when I asked if I bought in bulk just to get scammed! 100% they are selling resealed boxes to customers STAY FAR AWAY had the same secret rare 4 boxes in a row anyone who knows how cases work know this is impossible I ’ve bought from many places and never had this happened and all he said was yeah that’s weird SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE!!! I will be on every forum and convention telling everyone do not come here!!!!

And then wants to say I’m bitter?! I give honest reviews I’m a card collector. And a working man and father I’m not going over here to go out of my way to make someone look bad this is my honest review about how I was scammed at your store. And if you read the bad comments look how the owner tries to belittle the people who come here to speak the truth and if you’d like I’ll be there tomorrow with the boxes to show you all the proof I have they were resealed. 100% they were. Maybe you bought them that way and didn’t know or maybe you did know but they were RESEALED!!! So don’t try the tough guy routine like if this style of response...

I've been an avid TTRPG and board gamer for decades, and I've been fortunate to have lived near some excellent game and hobby stores in Madison (east and west sides).

When I moved near Baraboo a few years ago, I was thrilled to find The Labyrinth Games is just a short drive from home.

I've not gotten into playing any games in-store, but I've seen folks having a great time doing that at the Labyrinth.

My focus is usually on board games and D&D stuff, but there's way more here - and you can always call them and ask.

Most recently I was in on the holiday weekend, and despite it being pretty busy, the folks working the store happily answered my questions for game recommendations and offered to do a game demo ("I can show you how to play it in less than ten minutes").

My kids are into Pokemon, and they're getting into more advanced board games and TTRPGs. To have a store so close to home where you can find just about anything in the realm of games, friendly assistance when you need it, and an absolute trove of games and gaming stuff...
