We randomly called this company along with three others, to get quotes on a commercial job at our dog kennel. Of the 4, only two ever responded. And of the two responders, Custom Coatings blew the other out of the water with their stellar communication, pricing, plan of action, and professionalism. Job was performed on time and at our convenience, to minimize the amount of time our business would need to be closed. After the job, we had some minor issues with how things had been “put back together”. Jake and his brother Devin immediately resolved the issue and continued the good customer service and communication throughout. This is a family run business that utilizes old school, family pride, the result being a fantastic job and great looking end product. Even the men’s aunt, Brandi, is involved with some of the office work and handled our concerns with professionalism. We have no regrets with our finished product. The floors look fantastic, this company stuck to their original quote, and always made us feel like we were the customer and their job was to make us happy. You know….the way businesses used to be! At 63years of age I must admit that I hate when companies make me feel like they’re doing me a favor by providing a service. These young men understand the old fashioned way of doing business, that the customer is always right. I was very much impressed by their maturity and business acumen for such young men. I wanted Custom Coatings to transform our 2 1/2 car garage into a real room where we could spend time in bad weather. We wanted half of the garage to work as a family gym. A quarter of the garage was planned for a comfortable workstation for me. My wife was highly doubtful and insisted we would have to block off these sections with walls, which would have chopped it up quite badly. Custom Coatings was very professional and promptly responded to our inquiry. They came out and did a good job of explaining the process and helping us select colors. Their team was extremely hard-working and prepped the floor into a pristine surface. The combination of the epoxy base, color flakes, and aspartic topcoat ended up gleaming. The color flake distribution was surprisingly even and attractive. The topcoat has enough friction so that a wet floor will not be slippery whatsoever. I was especially happy with the continuous surface from the floor up the 4 inch baseboard around the entire perimeter. That will make it easy to wash the floor with our hose whenever we need to clean it out. Altogether, a surprisingly attractive result that adds an entire large, open indoor area to our living space. I purchased two new vehicles in 2023, and like all other Cape Codders, I was tired of being someone who takes great care of their vehicles over the years only to have road and atmosheric salt destroy the frame and every exposed part and component underneath them. Jake and Devin Vangelder at Custom Coatings agreed that the NH Boss Wax Protection was best for my particular vehicles, seeing that they were new. They did an unbelievable job on both, very meticulous about prep and making sure every square inch was protected, I was amazed at the finished product. Jake and Devin are two very polite young men with a great work ethic and business sense. Their Dad who owns Hyannis Transmission II on Enterprise Road in Hyannis obviously passed this work ethic down to them.
