I've been going to this theater since 1999 when it opened (still remember the 1st movie I saw was Green Mile with my Dad in screen 1). I have A LOT of good memories there...but I can't be too nice. Although I do respect some of the people working there (mainly a couple managers and Bob)...I also know that A LOT of people have been frustrated by the theater for a few big reasons.
I don't mean to sound like I don't like it there, I've been going since Day 1, over 16 years. I just think it once used to operate MUCH better (better sound, bigger staff, faster paced, AND midnight screenings not ruined by 1 maniac..kinda wish they had the balls to bring back Midnight showings, it would get word of mouth and people would say "Midnight movies are back? YES!! LET'S GO!").
Also...I think I realized that I mainly go there because it's the best stadium seating the Cape has to offer. There is Heritage Theaters but those screens aren't even that wide. The only other is in Kingston where they have RPX (but those prices are even higher...even if you aren't seeing something in RPX). I will say, a good option is Entertainmnet Cinemas in Dennis (they have all-day matinee tuesdays) and...wait...nevermind because THEY just raised their prices too (but like Heritage, they actually POP their popcorn...not refill with old pre-popped popcorn).
Bring back FREE POPCORN Tuesday and Midnight Movies (Popcorn Tuesdays was last good when it reached $1...now the deal on tues is $3.50...barely less than a small...for stale popcorn...so now Tuesdays don't lure me in like they used to, I...

I’m an avid movie goer and am a fan of horror films. My family all are depending on the content of a movie. Today (July 17) was my brother’s birthday. We had a great day and decided to end it by seeing a movie. We decided (based on what was out and the time) to see Crawl (Rated R). I am 19 years old and have been buying rated R movie tickets for years. So I bought the tickets for me and my younger brother who is a teenager as well. Bought the tickets on the mobile app and was ready to go. We had the phone and the tickets and got our candy and drinks. After a pleasant experience with the concession worker, we were about to walk to our movie. A manager (I assume due to her black suit and serious tone) asked to see our tickets. I provided her with my mobile tickets to see (upon buying the tickets there is a receipt that tells customers they do not need to stop at the box office and can go to the ticket usher directly) since this theatre had no usher this woman I assume was the manager looked at my phone and told me concessions needed to print a paper ticket. This seems ridiculous considering it’s now double the tickets that we can not lose and there isn’t even an usher. However, I didn’t see and issue since I already spent the money. We walked back to concessions with our stuff and the girls say they can print our tickets, but then the manager walks up and asks to see ID. I provide mine being that I spent my money and am an adult with my teen brother who doesn’t have a legal License or ID besides a school issued one. And after seeing my age, the Manager informs me that I have to be 21 to buy 2 rated R tickets. I thought that this is strange of course because I had already bought the tickets. Also, I am an adult and this is a movie ticket, not a gun, not alcohol, not tobacco; which I can purchase 2 of 3 in several states. Now not only confused but frustrated I ask why 1.) I am allowed to buy the tickets without verification on an app. 2.) why my age matters when 17 is the cutoff for purchasing tickets that are rated R 3.) why no time before, during, or after my purchase, I was notified of this “policy”. There were no signs in this theatre either. So without coming off crazy I ask my solutions and the manager said I can refund the tickets or I can see another movie. We chose to see another movie so as to not put a pause on my brother’s celebration, but I would like an explanation and a better answer and service expectation because I have been to theaters across the country from California, to Utah to here. And I haven’t ever had to be limited in “how many”...
Read moreI give this Regal a 1 star rating. I went over to purchase tickets ahead of time due to it being the 4th of July weekend (7/2/2023) There were no lines due it to being between shows. I clearly stated that I wanted the 2:40/2:50 shows and the amount of tickets for each show. Half of my family wanted to see Indiana Jones (3 adults, 3 children) and I needed 1 adult and 3 children to Elemental. One of the children was under 3. I had to repeat what I wanted several times, and waited for the person to select the tickets and then the next order. I was paying with AAA pre-purchased tickets. He scanned them and gave me my receipt with the tickets. I didn't check them, but had all these paper tickets. I should have though. When I arrived home, I realized he sold me 3 regular Indiana Jones for the 12:45 movie Charged me for 2 child elemental (he explained that the children's tickets were cheaper and to pay for them (which is not after my discount tickets). I did not have all of my tickets for the correct timed shows. I had my 12 year old nephew with me, who clearly understood what I was asking for and said to my parents when I realized the error, "Auntie Kelly was very clear of what she needed and told him." When we arrived to the movie theatre to see the movie, there was 1 long line. Everyone had to stand in line to purchase the ticket for the movie and to buy food in the same line. There were no ticket machines available, nor electronic tickets they could scan. When I arrive to buy tickets and purchase food, I had the same gentleman that I had previously. I had said I did not get the correct tickets earlier. He put in the other tickets I needed, the electronic credit and took our food order. He walked away, got a few of the items and then just left. Another male took over the order, but was confused. I had to order more Indiana Jones ticket. When we asked what movie theatre Indiana Jones was in, we were told 12, but the next show was in 8. We went into 12, watched about 20 minutes and the movie ended, because it was the wrong theatre. We found the correct one and missed the beginning of the movie. This theatre appeared to be very disorganized and the workers did not understand the ticket order. There appeared to be all young people working, teenagers, under 20. Many other people in line were not happy with the wait either. I would consider driving to another town in order to get the proper service for what we pay for...
