Battle Creek Farmers Market — Attraction in Battle Creek

Always love going to the market , but today was different and I knew things would be handling differently too. I was surprised that venders could not give change back at all . I went to the place where you can purchase market tickets and was received by two women with a chip on their shoulder , they asked me who sent me , I replied I was inquiring on my own behave and was basically called a lier, then I tried to ask a question and was told I couldn’t , after that they started to complain about a vender . I know it’s rough dealing with the public , I too deal with the public on a daily bases , but when your trying to keep things afloat you need to keep your self at a perfessional level. If they had a dispute with a vender it’s not for the public to know, the vender simply told me that they could not make change . If this vender pulls out I will not be back...

I adore going to any and all farmers markets. This was my first time going to the battlecreek farmer's market and most vendors were amazing. However I bought eggs on Wed, May 14 and it is now fri, May 16. I cracked open an egg I bought from one of the vendors and it was completely ROTTEN and black. I cracked open another because things happen and people make mistakes so one bad egg isn't an issue. The next one was basically water (meaning it's very very old). Then I decided instead of cracking them all I will just do the float test. if they float they are old because the air pocket inside has grown due to the egg turning old and watery and settling. Sort of small, but I think it's getting more attention and will likely grow. Downtown Battle Creek is a pleasant little area with small businesses. The farmer's market is located on the square and offers lots of fresh produce, soaps, honey, and more. The vendors are friendly and willing to answer any questions. There are only a few food trucks, so the lines can get bad around lunch time. Sometimes there are not enough tables if you choose to dine there. All the produce I've purchased has lasted longer than produce purchased in the store I frequent. Some vendors seem to rush you and aren't the most friendly. It's small, but you'll likely find...
