The ride itself was great. It's the wait time and the way they handle the "Lightning Lane" que. I understand if you want to pay more for a shorter wait time. But you also have to keep the regular line moving also. We waited 1 1/2 hr until we got to the front, then the line stopped for 35 minutes while they only boarded the guest in the Lightning lane. So our total wait time was over 2hrs! There has to be a better way. I don't want to spend my day at the park in line the whole day. Why couldn't we que all our rides then come back when it's our turn? Because that is also an extra cost to what is already a very pricey general admission one day pass. We were only able to ride 3 attractions. Spending about 5 1/2 hours in line. Having to make time to feed the kiddos and bathroom breaks, our day was quickly fading. Finally we said let's take the kids to see the fireworks and head home. Easier said then done. We would have had a better view from the parking lot. When you have toddlers and small children, trying to find a place for them to enjoy the nicely lit up castle that goes along with the fireworks show was impossible! Everyone standing with phones in the air, made for a disappointing end to an already eventful day. The children couldn't see any of the show on the castle and had to settle for listening to it, and watching the fireworks that were overhead. So for that day Magic Kingdom wasn't so magical.
