DO NOT GO HERE FOR A HAIRCUT. I made the mistake of coming here after my stylist got sick and canceled on me last min. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding the next day and needed JUST A TRIM and told her to keep my layers. Well she hacked off about 3-4 INCHES, and the ends of my hair were so choppy and uneven and the layers didn't even make sense. I already had the layers, she just had to clean up the split ends! I must've told her at least 3 times how happy I was that my hair was finally getting long and how I wanted to keep it that way, and she cut it off. My hair was so bad, the next morning when I was getting my hair done for the wedding the stylist took pictures and kept commenting on the "hack job" that was my hair, so embarrassing. I had to go to my regular stylist anyways just to fix the mistakes after the wedding, and she ended up having to cut my hair to my shoulders after I've been trying to grow it out for so long. I paid my stylist $40, so naturally I went back to Super Cuts to get my money back... First the manager on staff said they "couldn't find me" in the system, and she would have to speak with the stylist about my hair since "it looked fine now". I explained to her again that I had to have another stylist fix it, and showed her the pictures. She actually tried to say "you can't tell" and "it doesn't look that bad" (will post the photos later) finally after hearing excuse after excuse for 15 min. another customer chimed in and said "if you paid with your credit card that will be on file, I used to be a manager of Great Clips". The manager turned scarlet after that and mumbled how she could "probably do that"... Another 10 min. later (clearly she didn't know what she was doing) she issued me a refund and a half-assed apology. If you value your hair, go to a REAL hair salon. This commercialized...
Read moreI have been to Supercuts Bayonne several times already. I am rating just my most recent experience because my past experiences with different stylists were great. Today, walked into the salon with hair that was below my armpits. Unfortunately I donât have a stylist to name because she didnât introduce herself. Firstly, she sprayed me with the water while washing and I just shrugged it off cause itâs not the easiest position to be in. Next, I knew that the bottom 3 to 4 inches had to go. So of course Iâm aware that there was going to be a shocking difference. The stylist and I were on the same page until she cut the 4+ inches in one fell swoop. I donât know the terms but I expected to see her parting and asking me where my part was. She proceeded to chop my hair in no particular order and didnât even comb my hair straight while cutting hunks of hair. Pieces were sticking up on the top while she was making her cut comparisons on the bottom. Not once did she compare the front halves of my hair. I knew it was way shorter than we discussed because the inches kept coming off after the initial chop. I didnât get a blow out. Couldnât even get my hair in a pony after the cut- after waking up this morning being able to tie my hair in a top not without a hair band. After getting home to style on my own ( and a few major sobs) I learned the entire back is shorter than the front. While this is a style- it isnât the one I asked for. I knew the nail was in the coffin when she was done and said âitâs still longâ. I implore Supercuts to think a little bit more about the customer and less about what the stylists wants to do unless those decisions are discussed thoroughly. This was by far the most terrible and upsetting salon experience and thereâs nothing to be done because itâs hair and it canât...
Read moreAwful! The woman moved so slow, didn't even use clips to section hair properly when dying. The dye was left on for 45 mins and she decides to add more dye on my whole head for another 30 minutes. Meaning the first few dyed pieces were left on for almost 2 hours total. The chairs to wash are desk chairs cemented to the floor.. killing my back. She then couldn't brush my hair with the cheap dollar store brush and asked how I brush it daily.I don't ever have an issue. My hair is naturally pin straight and currently shoulder length. She then made ME, the paying client, brush my own hair because she was "scared". My hair was all knotted and felt like straw due to the dye being left on too long. The cut was embarrassing. She held it back in a bunch and just snipped across. The end. The front was OBVIOUSLY longer than the back and so uneven. My side bangs were chopped even worse (as you can see in the photos). I was there for almost 3 hours which is unacceptable. It took me a week of deep conditioning to get my hair back to a manageable...
