Tonight I had my first experience with ordering online and having a personal shopper preparing my order for pickup. I got to sit in the comfort of of my pajamas while shopping on the web site. I love the fact you can utilize sales and clip coupons and customize your shopping so much better than going to the store and spontaneously tossing stuff in your cart. For the first time I missed nothing off my list. I have a disease that requires my immune system to be suppressed, so I am always nervous going in to environments where I am exposed to viruses and other bad stuff, I also have physical handicaps.
My shopper Kayla D. text me and introduced herself. She was so kind and asked me about substitutes, even letting me add a couple last items while she shopped. I pulled into meijer and only waited about 5 minutes. It was pouring down rain and she brought the groceries out and did most of the loading real quick, which was very very appreciated. She was so kind and courteous and seem to genuinely care about making sure I had the very best customer experience I could get. When I got home and put it all away. The bags were packed with care, nothing to heavy or overloaded. Nothing missing off the inventory list. My fresh produce was great, it showed she took the time to check each item over, nothing squished, bruised, or torn. I am so pleased that meijer has this service available. I didn't have to walk around in pain and do any heavy lifting.    Read moreI found it difficult to shop here, and I normally love Meijer. We were visiting Michigan so we stopped by for a few needed items. When we asked an employee where a particular item could be found, we were told to go to a general area rather than trying to find out as he clearly had no idea and come to find out he was way off. As we shopped we noticed they were low on a lot of their stock, so we got what we could find. We decide to go through the self check out as the regular check out lines where horribly long. As we checked out the register seemed to do and notify the attendant that something was wrong. When she came over she was full of attitude as if we were interrupting her day. She clearly did not want to be there but this is not my fault since I haven't even spoken to her yet. She pulls up a clip of the issue and says I hadn't finished wringing up an item and points to my cart. I told her I hadn't scanned the fruit and decided to leave it to the end so that it wouldn't get smashed by the other grocery items. She shakes her head at me, reached into my cart and proceeds to take the fruit out and scan it and then sends it down the conveyor belt! She turns back to me, gives me a look and walks away!    Read moreLast two times shopping here have been terrible. Tried returning something that I had bought the night before. I had receipt and still had major problems with the woman at the service desk. She was very unpleasant and just kept telling me"that's what the computer says". It was very easy to figure out but I had her call the manager because she was not going to bend. He came up and told her just what I had told her. I got my correct amount of money back and went on my merry way (15 min later). She never told me thank you, sorry for the inconveniences, nothing..... Not good customer service in my eyes. Next night I was there they didn't have one single check out open. They were all the self scan. I hate those. There was 2-3 employees standing there but nobody was on a checkout. I don't understand why they don't open one up. I swear everything I rang up the red light came on and the woman had to come over see her ID card and fix the mistake. This took a good 20 min to check out. Good thing my husband wasn't with me. He'd have said 'screw it' and left the whole cart full sitting there. Again, not good service. Open up a damn checkout lane. She could have gotten me and the others through a lot faster than what it took to keep...
