Even though I'm giving it a 4 1/2 stars just because I was finally super excited when Petoskey in Michigan got their 1st Starbucks .But On August 8th I order a( grande )Carmel macchiato with coconut milk with a chorizo sandwich and a (tall)mocha frappuccino . I took a drink of my Carmel Macchiato with coconut milk and gagged. The coffee was so STRONG and bitter tasting . I couldnt taste the coconut milk which it should be sweet and so is the Carmel ,so I went back through the drive thru and told them I dont think there was any coconut milk in it .Remind you I'm a huge starbucks fan big time so for me to not wanna drink it you know it had to be super strong .Anyways she remade the drink with no problem but when I got my second I got out on that busy road and tasted my drink again .Again STRONG and bitter and no carmel taste and coconut taste at all , so I thought it was me so I had my granddaughter try it and same reaction the coffee was super strong like whoever made it dumped a bag of grounds in . Instead of drinking it I threw it away .please If any of the managers are reading this please have their workers learn how to make coffee the right way like your other locations do.. I was upset I had to throw away my drink I pay a lot of money for considering its coffee .... still love my starbucks even though I had a bad drink... Scarlet also loves their pupachino's

As the only drive-through coffee shop in town, this one usually gets my business if I’m in a hurry. The drinks are almost always consistent and workers are friendly. Every business around here is understaffed so the long lines just are what they are. A couple weeks ago I swung by for two small lattes (and my third tier sandwich choice since the others were already gone for the day). I’ve recently backed off from obligatory tipping at places where I’m only receiving a product, not a service. A server only makes $3.84 an hour while a barista in this area is making at least $15. Still not a livable wage, but their salary should come from Starbucks, not the community. Anyway when it was my turn to pay and I got the “it’s just going to ask you a question” prompt, I chose no thanks to tipping. The girl at the window said, “Aaawww!” As someone who works in the local service industry, that is just wildly inappropriate in my mind. Tipping is supposed to be for exceptional service. I don’t tip the people at Taco Bell and they actually make the food I want right then. I was getting two small 3-ingredient drinks and a microwaved sandwich. To top it off the drinks were tepid and only 3/4 full at best. It must’ve been the B Team working that day, but I’ve managed to make time to go inside a different coffee shop ever since then.

Starbucks are all fairly well managed so the differentiators are slight. Customer service and maintenance of the common areas are two that I look for. This location doesn't stand out in either. It's nice but not exceptional

I've frequented this Starbucks for years now and even more so when they start up with their seasonal drinks. Up until late summer the drinks were usually good and the service was mostly friendly. It's seriously went downhill to the point where I'm not even going to go there anymore. My drinks usually don't taste correct and I was getting excited on the days that they got the order right. For $9-11 I shouldn't have so many days where the order is wrong. The last drink that I ordered was supposed to be a sugar cookie frappuccino with a couple of shots of espresso. The drink that I received was almost completely white so I was nervous about it but I took a drink anyways and it tasted like water and a little bit of cream.. Not even a hint of coffee. The morning staff is usually cold and will mostly try to not acknowledge you when you come in to get your order.. They especially hate when you ask for a straw for your cold coffee order.. One of the staff members rolled her eyes once when I asked for one. I attempted to toss a tip on my order sometimes but didn't see improvement on my drinks or the customer service...
