This bowling alley was okay. We got a lane right away, that’s fine. I took my daughter and her friend on a Saturday afternoon. It was very busy. No issues with that, just thought it must be popular. We did the 1 hour of bowling. Took us a long time to find the right bowling balls. I finally had to get the kids the bowling balls from the front desk that were a size 6 because they do not have 7 pound balls. I finally found a ball for me and it was bad actually. The shell moved around when you put your fingers in it. I went to ask the front desk how to do bumpers for the two 11 year olds. I was told they only let people have bumpers for kids 9 years and under. This shocked me! I have never been anywhere that has said that. Basically the kids had a very bad time after that and just wanted to leave. We left 25 minutes on the clock and basically had to force them to just play one game since I paid for it. The food was okay. I got a small pizza that was good. The kids got chicken strips and fries. The chicken strips looked very strange. Just not right. The girls said they were terrible and so are the fries. They were mostly cold (not cooked all the way through).

I really wanted this place to be awesome but it was not. The staff was nice and that’s about it. I will stick to the base bowling alley that lets any player have bumpers from their computer system you control. Food is good quality and cheap. If we bowl on Sunday I would prefer round one. Since the base is closed on...

As far as the facility, it is plenty big and kept clean including restrooms. The restaurant has GREAT food. I have gone there just to eat lunch several times. The restaurant staff has always been nice. The above lane monitors are older and getting pretty dim. I'm sure the next round will be flat screens and should be nice and crisp for a long time. My problem with this place is the front desk help and more than likely the ownership. They act very greedy and stingy. They seem plenty busy and should be making plenty of money but they nickle and dime you to death and never side with the customer. They don't let kids bowl in socks and force everyone to pay extra for shoes. Extra money there. Then we had the same issue 3 times with their inaccurate pricing. The Sunday night college 2 hour bowling was priced one price online, another in the screens inside place, and a third price on the flyers inside. The front desk guy argued about it and said it had been that price - the highest one- for a year. Then get everything to match. Then give the customer the cheapest price on display. We are talking about 3-4 bucks here, but you don't act this way to customers...like it's going to make it break the business. This is why we stopped going. 3 strikes was enough. I was there today to drop someone off and decided to check reviews. I agree with the others that have had issues with front desk employees. They just don't act like they want...

Beaver-Vu Lanes in Dayton is nothing short of extraordinary. As a seasoned bowler who has graced the lanes of 50 states and four continents, I can confidently proclaim that it is the pinnacle of bowling alley excellence.

Every facet of this establishment is flawless. The lanes are impeccably maintained, ensuring a smooth and consistent bowling experience. The facility itself is a model of cleanliness and order, creating a truly enjoyable atmosphere. Beyond the lanes, Beaver-Vu boasts an unparalleled beverage selection, with an impressive array of wines, beers, and craft cocktails that would satisfy even the most discerning palate.

The recent Midwest Women's Bowling Tournament was a testament to Beaver-Vu's exceptional quality. It was a pleasure to compete in such a well-run and professional environment. No lane malfunctions disrupted the flow of the tournament, allowing us to focus solely on our game. Beaver-Vu Lanes is more than just a bowling alley; it's a destination. It's a place where bowlers of all levels can come together to enjoy the sport in perfect conditions. If you're seeking the ultimate bowling experience, look no further. Beaver-Vu Lanes is the gold standard.

A standing ovation for...

I have bowled at this house for years and what I love most is what they do for the youth. They have the largest youth program and give so much back to the kids. The staff makes you feel like family as well as the owner Doug Wilson. The best bartender around is there! Recently, we rented the big red bus for Christmas light viewing! Light Up Middletown was the place that welcomes buses. Our driver and co-captain were festive and fun! Even stopped at a Pilot so we could all use the restroom. I as a bowler did not know that they rented to everyone. It is affordable and a fun way to get your group together. If you have a wedding, prom, birthday, or holiday event, consider Beaver Vu as your go-to and ask about the Big Red Bus!

Nice center overall, very good selection in the pro shop, nice scoring system and good prices. The only downfall is the lane conditions and equipment. I recently bowled there and it and gouged up all three of my bowling balls, and one of them was brand new trying it out for the first time. You spend a lot of money on bowling equipment to only get beat up by the lane equipment is frustrating. I can get a belt mark or a light scuff here and there but when it starts gouging the cover stocks on all your balls that’s an issue. Lanes 49-50 was the pair one I bowled on. Photos provided.

I had a CLOSING scheduled at 1:00 PM and wanted to celebrate with a BADA$$ grilled cheese before we started! There is no better place to get that sandwich than the bowling ally… ALANA was on the grill and did not disappoint. That grilled cheese and french fry combo was one of the best I’ve ever had!!! Thank you so much!! That’s how you celebrate a win!!!
