I needed to get my wedding ring appraised for a new insurance company. My insurance agent highly recommended Beavercreek Jewelers and I saw that they had many positive reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was not so positive. When I called to see if I could set up an appointment to take my ring in I was told I should bring it in on a Tuesday because appraisals are done on Wednesdays and I would be able to pick it up on Wednesday afternoon. So I took it in on a Tuesday. On Wednesday I called to see when I could pick it up and I was told it wouldn't be ready until Thursday and they would call when it was done. I didn't get a call on Thursday so later Thursday afternoon my husband called to see if it was ready and he was told the jeweler had a family emergency and they had no idea when the appraisal would be done. He decided to go pick up the ring rather than leave it there indefinitely. But when he got to the store they couldn't find my ring and told him they didn't know where it was. He was told the jeweler may have taken it home and they would call him to see if he knew where it was. But when they called he didn't pick up. I then called to find out what was going on and the woman I talked to said the jeweler probably took it home because he does that often. She said they were trying to get ahold of him and she would call me back after she did. I was very concerned and instead of being understanding or apologetic she talked to me like I was upset over nothing. Eventually, they got ahold of the jeweler and called to tell me that he had confirmed that he had taken it home and he would bring it back soon. I was dumbstruck that he would take my ring out of the store to his home and that there was no record in the store of where my ring was.The salesperson assured me that he has insurance if the ring should become lost but I can't believe any insurance would cover the ring if it was outside the store and since he hadn't appraised it yet, how would an insurance company know what I should be reimbursed for it? Read moreDon't use this jeweler! I took my wedding set in for some rework....adding a Marque diamond(I bought this from another shop in NC), appraisal and resizing. I am told they can do what I'm wanting and leave the rings. I have been a customer of this jeweler since they opened the doors and have referred lots of people. After 6 weeks they say it's ready. I am flabbergasted when I see them! The rings are not round, the bridges of the solitare are cut straight across, and the ring looks unfinished. I am assured "Ray will call me to discuss and make it right" so I leave it again. 6 more weeks of "Ray is on vacation" its now been 12 weeks and I am now angry! The wedding ring is larger than the engagement, there is a glob of solder holding in one of the side diamonds, no appraisal, and they want me to pay for the rework!! I leave with my set and did not pay. As I ware it home, the glob of solder breaks and I loose the diamond! Took my set to another jeweler this week. Explained what happen prior. The set now needs completely rebuilt, the missing diamond replaced and they inform me the solitare Marque diamond has damage to it!!!!!!!! I had certifications on the diamond when I purchased it!! We ended up browsing the estate section when my girlfriend fell in love with a wonderful ring. We both wanted to take a bit and think about it before we made a major commitment. Ruby told us to take our time, she wanted to make sure we both loved the ring!
We walked out to the parking lot and before we left we discussed it and decided that's the ring we both wanted and the easy, no pressure sales by Ruby made it a no brainer.
We also had a ring that needed resized, along with the estate ring. The work on both rings is amazing and flawless.
When we came back for the resizing and to finalize the purchase, Ruby was busy so another salesperson Joyce was able to show us a few wedding bands. She was equally as easy to work with as Ruby was, she helped getting my ring size and showed me countless options. When Ruby was able, she also came over and helped.
