My husband and I tried this for the first time last night, it wa a horrible experience and we will never eat there again. I visited the website and and decided to order online. The first issue is there is no guest ordering. You are required to register and make a profile before you can order, including questions such as what is your favorite sauce? Considering we had never been there, I found the process tedious and a complete waste of time. The second issue was that we were required to pay in full before the order is submitted. In my opinion, all this does is leave the door open to crappy service and food because it is already paid for. My husband went to pick up our order and was told there was no order submitted. He pulled up our bank account and showed them that we had indeed already been debited the full amount. I had texted him a screen shot of the confirmation email, which he also showed them. Instead of taking our order again, they read what they could, and tried to fill the order, from a texted screen shot of an email. As expected, they got it wrong. I ordered chicken nachos with extra queso and extra sour cream, both of which I was charged extra for. I received neither. I'm assuming there was chicken on there somewhere, though the portion was so measly, I can't be sure. The guacamole, which again was an extra charge, was spoiled and tasted rotten. My nachos were dry corn chips with a hand full of toppings thrown on, with a table spoon of spoiled guacamole on the side. Completely inedible. My husband had a burrito bowl, and his order was much the same. Missing toppings, spoiled guacamole, and a tiny, measly portion. We thought they had perhaps given him the junior bowl, though we were charged for the regular sized portion. It was after nine pm when he arrived home with our order, and the restaurant was then closed. I went to their facebook page and posted a copy of this review. When I checked today, they had deleted my post without responding or addressing it at all. I posted that I thought it was ridiculous that they deleted it without addressing anything, they also deleted that post. Needless to say in an area as large as Dayton, and with as many options for food as there are, we will never, ever eat at Hot Head Burritos again. The experience from start to finish was ridiculous, the food and the service was horrendous. We would not recommend this restaurant to a single person. By the way they handled their Facebook page complaint, it's obvious the management couldn't care less about the food or service,...
Read moreHot Head’s juicy burritos taste great, I have always been able to eat their $7+ burritos all at once and often still feel hungry. The burritos have a funny after taste and feeling, so I probably should not eat more than one at once anyway.
A Hot Head manager refused my “free stuff card” complete with 12 stickers I earned on it. Hot Head has a new digital rewards program, therefore Hot Head decided to ignore promises from the old one. I made contact twice through the Hot Head corporate website about this issue. They said they would likely get back to me within two business days; it has been 29 days and I still have not heard back. Persistent fraud is why I gave Hot Head one star. Hot Head owes me a burrito!
For comparison, El Toro’s chicken Monster Burrito costs $11; it is bigger and better quality, and includes guacamole as part of the cost (it is $1 more at Hot Head). I often can’t eat the Monster Burrito all at once (unlike Hot Head), and I can then enjoy the rest for lunch the next day! El Toro’s cheese sauce is amazing and they have FREE fresh chips and salsa (also unlike Hot Head). El Toro’s service is very fast for a sit down restaurant. Just do not order anything cheap with a number in front of it, as the quality...
Read moreDon't ever come here! I come to this location all the time and they are usually very nice and friendly. Today, when I first came in, I was greated with a "What do you want?" in a really mean tone. I just brushed it off because I thought maybe she was having a bad moment. I ordered a few things and she immediately insinuated that I wasn't going to pay for anything. Ordered a walking taco with no queso and shredded cheese instead, which she charged me for and also charged me for the taco sauce. I didnt mind paying for it, but her attitude was so nasty the whole time. "Make sure you ring her up for that" like I wasnt going to pay...I should have walked out then, but just brushed the rudeness off again. When I order my bowl, I usually say "guacamole I know it's extra" just to let them know that I know and I don't mind paying for it. She said "Yes, it is!" In a really nasty unprofessional tone. I have done nothing to derserve this treatment. It costs absolutely nothing to be kind...Her name is Angel and I will never be back...
