Still the dame arrogance with leasing office guys, Samantha and team. Strangers walking around smoking weed, loud music played in the car at nights, drinking party in the parking lots at nights its ridiculous that the leasing office wont do a thing it is unsafe to walk at night. Their safety patrol is a joke. No public camera installed after several complaints that strangers are walking upto the patio. They send only threatening email when they want things their way. Their only answer is call 911 as if the police have that only duty where is the deterrence mechanism.

Liars -- they are still remote and are deliberately short on staff to save money. the Leasing office staff Debbie and Nicole WONT CARE care about the people leaving here. If you cant run the show with the staff here, that is your failure !!!!.. New set of beer cans and bottles sitting here and not been cleaned up since the new years... it is ridiculous - DO NOT LEASE HERE!!!

Before 11/2/2022 Its a big clumsy view when folks put their stuff in the patio...huge boxes ..even dining tables....xlothes hanging on ropes.....its a poor show when u have guest visiting your house....ohh btw this is a weekly overflow of garbage
hopeless leasing office folks, wont pick up calls, wont respond to emails. Have their standard email replies " we are striving hard to get this hard and blah blah"- maintenance work is a nightmare, it takes weeks and even months to get a simple work order scheduled...will they accept if i delay my rent by a day.

   Read moreWe are a family of five renting a three bedroom apartment in Piedmont for a year and a half now. I like the layout of the apartment that suits our family just fine in room and space, and the fact they take dogs is a major reason we are here. I love the on site gym, and the kids love the pool! We never need to drive the car anywhere with metro bus near the entrance of the property, plus the kids easily walk to and from mid and high school. The complex is next to grocery stores, a public library, restaurants, the movie theater, clothing stores, banking and everything else is just across the street, including a community youth theater, and a public park where dogs are welcome.
The staff here is very helpful and efficient when there is any issues with appliances and when something needs fixing. New management took over the property just before we moved in and since then we have noticed major investments in updating apartment sewer, electrical and plumbing systems, making for better infrastructure through out.
Our neighbors and community are nice and friendly, so we plan on staying here for quite a while as long as they don't raise the rent on us...ha.
Just wanted to update after seeing others negative reviews. I have not seen any coach roaches in our apartment since living here nearly 4 years now. I lived in Hawaii for 10 years so I know what it is like seeing all kinds of bugs in your residence, but living here I haven't had to put up with them like in Hawaii, no coach roaches nor ants or any other bugs for that matter in my 2nd level apartment. I'm not saying they are not here, I'm just saying I haven't seen them. The other review about tonnes of homeless people descending on upon the complex and police removing them. I find this hilarious, that person must be living in a different complex, because I haven't seen these homeless people that they are...

Anyways, the recent few months have been very problematic for us. The maintenance request orders, repairs orders, etc. are taking months to be worked on. The new community doesnât answer your calls or emails. They are very rude when you speak with them. It seems they are proud of their ignorance and arrogance.
If you move in here and you donât like the community, your life will become hell for poor maintenance, move out, lease breaking, cleanliness, etc. The only thing you would like after moving here is the neighborhood bcoz everything thing is in walking distance with ease public transportation facility. So, I would recommend find Apartments nearby Piedmont and not inside Piedmont.

I was informed by Piedmont Apartments / Essex Community that they would reach out in one of the replies to this review. However, itâs been two weeks and I havenât heard back from the community or Nicole who commented on my review.
Repetition from previous review: Community Management is taking months to repair/work on your maintenance request. HOWEVER, if you miss any deadline be it with rent payments, car moving notice, or any action on you, then the community fines you $100 to $200 immediately.
