I will start with ambience...the restaurant has got rajasthani dolls and lamps... making it look like an rajasthani or north indian restaurant however the music they play is mostly south indian making the restaurant an complete indian 🙂...The furniture is decent & is good considering small restaurant...The restaurant ceiling were at some places getting moulds though...now coming to food items as i am vegetarian i will be providing reviews for only veg items...i visited this place today for lunch buffet... veg item were - sambhar, yellow daal, palak paneer, methi pakora, sweet pakora, aloo sabji dry, rasam, veg dum biryani, white rice, tandoori roti, green beans sabji dry, uttapam, chutneys, salads, mango lassi, cheese cake, gelly, gulab jamun, tea ...remember this list doesn't contain any of the non- veg items. All the veg items were good but some of them lacked proper flavour. Sambhar was looking more blatant and in taste was feeling like i am having some indian spices soup(strange considering this seems to be an south indian restaurant).Gulab jamun were too much sugar syrup coated. Tandoori roti were cold. I would highly recommend tea at this place. Yellow daal was too good. My 4 star for this place as i have been to many restaurant in seattle & nearby area but no where i was able to find these many dishes as veg items and most of them with proper taste. Overall i would recommend this place to all who like eating vegetarian food or are...
Read moreI have never written a review before, but these people got on my nerve. I have been a regular at this place for over a year. I ordered sambar wada which came with an aluminum fold embedded in it. This is the conversation I had
Me: there is can aluminum foil in my wada Bawarchi: ok. I'll take out the aluminum foil. You will eat it right? Me: No Bawarchi: ok. You will eat the other wada right? Me: No. Just don't add the wada to our bill, I'll still pay for the other items and I'll not write a review online
We make the payment and leave trusting that they will not include the wada in the bill. 2 days later we realize that the wada was never removed from the bill. We go back and ask bawarchi to explain what happened.
At first, they deny including it to the bill. We argue for about 15mins and she concludes by saying I cannot give you a refund, but instead you can take a mango lassi. This was when I tell her that I am going to write a review online.
On hearing this, she gave us a full refund (after arguing for a total of about 20mins)
The thing that pisses me off the most is not the aluminum foil embedded wada, but the fact that she argued with us for 20mins before giving a refund. And again I have been a regular customer for over a year here visiting atleast...
Read moreFirst of all their Online Website is the worst. There are only 2 options available (Pic 1). So last month having no other options I chose one of the two dishes (Paneer Butter Masala) and ordered. When I went to pickup in the restaurant I saw there are so many Veg options available in their Menu (Pic2 and Pic3). So the manager told me to take a pic pf the menu so that I can order from there next time. BTW the Paneer Butter Masala was not good at all.
Today I decided to try one of their other Veg Items. Sesame Kadhai Mix Veg (Sounds Interesting.. Right). So I called and asked to place an order. The lady on the other side says "Ma'am we do not have it". I tell them I can see it in the Menu. Its in the Vegetarian Menu 5th Item from the top. (Pic2 .. I bet everyone can see). The person says "I am new let me ask someone". Thats an acceptable reason. So she hands over the phone to some other Lady. I tell the other lady the same order. This lady tells "Its not there" and cuts the Phone. She does not even bother to ask if I want something else. I try calling them again 2 times and they do not pick up.
Summarizing: Bawarchi LACKS: Management. Hospitality Customer Service Taste Hope I could have given you NEGATIVE STARS.
Please think twice thrice...
