I had the most harrowing time with Radha. To begin with I was looking for on-location bridal hair and makeup services. I made this clear to her staff and her twice .. over the phone first/even wrote it down as 'details' twice (they literally write info on post-its). Initially they all said that Radha can stop by the venue and we had discussed prices ($250 for matte makeup)(she suggested I come for trial $100). Then she suggested I do some facials since I have acne. I told her let's go with hydrotherapy ($75 per session).
Three things that irked me: She decides which facial you get. You literally are like on the spa bed and they will add extra facials. So by the end you have a 3x bill waiting for (she did this to my fiance' too who came in for a hydrotherapy session). So we were given extra bridal/luxury facials ($95) along with hydro. We could have discussed this prior. After 2 facial sessions when I was discussing details about D-Day she seemed to have completely forgotten that the services were on-location. She started telling me I never told her (what?!). I tried to negotiate but she is so unprofessional she didn't tell me the exact time requirements or price. She said she'll charge an additional $300 for 3 artists on-location. She said she'll see how much of touch up will be needed for a following ceremony on the same day. There was no clarity, no contracts, no pricing structure. By this time I had already paid her $100 as downpayment :( And spent around $400 on facials ( I shouldn't have come the second time for facial, instead should have shopped around for better people. I trusted her and was let down by the end). Radha and her staff lack communication skills. They are so crude. They communicate in hindi and I believe really don't understand the customer well enough. Also she pretends she is super busy. Running around always. I guess she isn't interested in customers. The last time we went to ask for refund (20 days before the event, my mom tagged along too this time) she had the attitude - take it or leave it. This made me super uncomfortable since I was patient and still looking for some solution/discussion.
Ultimately she did not return the down payment (expected).
There are ways to run a profitable business, but this salon lacks integrity and transparency. I was disappointed at being tricked like this. I would warn future...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went there a few times for eyebrow. 1st time, some woman did and she shaved off a good chunk of my right eyebrow and it was completely messed up. To hide it she started applying black eye shadow at which point I called Urvashi (the owner probably) and she said she will try to fix but obviously it was beyond repair. She said she will fix next time and till then I can apply onion juice and eye shadow.
Next time: she still couldn't fix it. Gave the same advice.
Third time. I went on a Friday, 12:30 pm when there were just two people waiting before me. I told I will wait for Urvashi to do since she has to fix this. 30 mins later, she came and said she will take one more minute and seated me in the chair. I said okay. 15 mins went by and she started cutting someone's hair. I asked another girl can you call her. She said if I do she will shout can you please go and ask yourself. I went to ask her how much time more she will take since it had already been 45 mins and she was like another 25 mins. She was frustrated clearly and in general has 0 etiquette of talking to customers. Other lady beside me was also cribbing that she has been waiting for half an hour and just one girl is there to do eyebrow. I told her I asked 45 mins ago if you are available and I was told yes, this is not fair. You wasted 45 mins on a working day for me. She said yes I'm busy very snobbishly.
Outcome: she lost a customer, and I used to refer a bunch of my friends here so good luck with that. She needs to learn basic customer service before opening a salon. And also a hint to the owner: get some legal workers and proper...
