I am so happy that I decided to swing by Hot Spot today before doing some computer work at Stones Throw. I talked to Joe for a few minutes last night about his sauna as i walked by and I knew that I had to come back for a sweat. I had a stressful morning and I thought that a sauna would be a great way to relax and clear my head before doing anything else. I showed up ready to pay the $25 for a seat but Joe insisted that I take advantage of his offer of two free sweats in the sauna! I didn't have to do anything but book a seat on his website and use the code for free access. I felt welcome in the sauna and had a great time socializing with the other folks inside (if you aren't interested in socializing you can book it all to yourselves). I left feeling recharged; warmed in my body and soul on this cold dark winter day. You wont regret coming by for a sweat. Take the time to chat with Joe, his energy is as warm and inviting as his sauna. I've spent time in many saunas and this one is...
Read moreIf you like a good sauna to sweat out a stressful week, make your way down to HotSpotBellingham in Fairhaven right next to Stones Throw Brewery. If you don’t like saunas send a nurse or a nursing student as a gift, nurses need help taking care of themselves! Go online to reserve a spot, or call them if you struggle in that area(we found their online portal easy to use). Their sauna gets toasty warm, there is a barrel of cold water with pitchers to toss over your body, and they have bathroom, changing room, and shower in the little house south of Stones Throw. We had it to ourselves for 50 minutes, but there can be up to 8 people at a time. Wear slides, a suit, bring a towel and water, or rent towel and buy water from them. Seriously it is clean and warm and wonderful, I will return, often! The only thing that would make it better is if it was in my...

I went to a sauna in Germany and I've been searching for the same or similar experience here in the states and I finally have!
The sauna is perfectly hot and is the perfect place to sweat it out after a workout or just after a long day. They provide towels if you didn't bring one and they will bring you a cold drink halfway through if you want.
They also have great essential oils to pour in the sauna water. I recommend sitting on the higher seat if you want a more intense sweat. Be sure to bring your own water bottle for after!
They also have a great waiting area and changing rooms with a more private entrance to the sauna without having to walk past the brewery in your swimsuit lol.
It's also super clean and well-kept. Comrtably fits 8 and I think its a great way to catch up with your friends. Me and my friends have been...
