We visited at 8:15 am on a Friday. First the summary: Prices are reasonable for the quantity of food you get (for vegetarian items at least), and most of the items are good enough that we think Daisy Cafe is a worthwhile breakfast spot to put into the rotation. The quality of the items we ordered today varied from excellent to poor, so just keep that in mind when deciding to give them another try if your first experience isn't ideal. Here are the dishes we ordered and our opinions: Veggie eggs benedict: Excellent. Eggs were cooked well (whites firm, yolks runny), the hollandaise sauce was tasty. Galbraith quesadillas (added vegan sausage and subbed fruit salad instead of potatoes): Excellent. A slight crunch in the tortillas, and the filling/pico were very good. Fruit was good except the oranges were unripe. The Cheesie (with biscuit, subbed vegan sausage for the meat): Very good. Not a huge serving size, but the price is low (only $8.50) so worth it. Nice that the biscuit came with raspberry jam, it was yummy. Cinnamon/orange french toast: 3.5 out of 5. I think it should be a little more eggy, and it wasn't hot. But the flavor was very good. Potatoes: 4 out of 5 IF you prefer your potatoes non-crispy and very salty. I liked them, and they are cooked well (not raw in the middle), but they are not seasoned at all except for salt and oil, and they're not browned/crispy. Pancakes: 1 out of 5. Extremely rubbery/chewy, and not hot. We definitely will not be ordering the pancakes again. Staff were friendly and service was excellent (pay at the counter and then sit). Coffee was very good, and a server offered refills at just the right intervals. Overall I'm giving it a 4 because we enjoyed most of the food and we plan to go back at some point. We're very happy that they have a fake meat on offer as a substitute.

It was our first time in downtown Bellingham and we didnt know where to go so we drove around and found this place. Ate here for brunch on a Saturday. Chicken fried steak and eggs were great but it was greasy, so was the potatoes it came with. Its not even crisp, its almost like its boiled in oil. The hubby had the BLTTA with potatoes. He liked the sandwich very much but also found the potatoes greasy. It didnt bother us that we couldnt eat it as we arent heavy carb eaters but for what we paid, it was not worth it. The little one had the beef dip and kettle chips and she enjoyed both the sandwich and chips. Atmosphere was nice, it was a quiet and homey cafe. The place was not busy but food took about 25 minutes to make. We were worried our parking meter would expire so we took a few bites and ended up packing the food instead. Huge serving and good place to go if you have enough time but we'd probably try other places next time.

Had a perfectly pleasant experience at the Daisy Cafe last weekend when visiting Bellingham. Got the biscuits and gravy, and honestly was very happy with the namesake components of the meal. The sausage gravy was tasty and meaty enough where many others are just soup, and the biscuits were fine. However, the eggs were very bland, and the potato’s uninspired. For the price of my meal (22 for the full order including a small glass of oj and tip), it wasn’t great value. A above average experience, but also an above average price. Nice employees though and a bright sunlit dining area!

There are a couple tables to accommodate wheelchairs & walkers in the little coffee shop connected. This area is quieter experience whereas the restaurant area of two booths and five maybe more table tops, it is very noisy when only two tables are full & it's impossible to hear! It's beautifully well lit and enjoyed ALL THE STAFF & COOKS, wonderful uplifting personalities all of them!!! I love all personality types loud, quiet, colorful, artistic, philosophical, sweet, edgy, simple, complex and here at Daisy Cafe it's a wonderful mixture of amazing people working here!!!!!! They do need an assigned person to do immediate clean up when there's a rush of customers needing their food and such! But with all their ongoing to go orders there's no time for their staff to provide that personal one on one service anymore! Yet they all still do their best to connect with excellent eye contact smiles and share their humor as well as contagious laughter !!! The food is still EXCELLENT because the whole team of Daisy really LOVE being there!!!! I saw all of them non stop cleaning up as well and they all really a well oiled machine of actual human beings with the best OMELET KING CHEF and he's so friendly, seriously fun and a true master of his grill! With a truly genuine kind heartedness that you can taste in every bite of every dish he creates!!!! His female assistant cook was very talkative animated...

Breakfasted here the first morning of my brief two day mini honeymoon after checking out various possible options online. Looked cute and comfy in the pics and had nice choice of menu options with reasonable pricing. And mostly excellent reviews. When a place has 80% or so positive reviews, I regard the few bad reviews with a grain of salt. There are lots of people who will nitpick everything in their life, regardless.

We were not disappointed! Service was prompt, efficient, and friendly. Our server, Erin, was fantastic and super helpful when we asked for nearby brewpub suggestions. Even enlisted the help of one of the other servers. Both my and my wife's eggs were cooked exactly as requested, the apple chicken links were delicious, and my potatoes were amazing: a little buttery, a little crispy.

We were planning on trying someplace else our second morning, but we enjoyed the first so much we came back. This morning I had the cinnamon orange French toast. They use the spongy French toast bread that I love. They were cooked perfectly, and the cinnamon orange flavor was understated, just right. My wife said her buckwheat pancakes were moist , flavorful and delicious. She was a little afraid to order them because she's often been disappointed with a dry cake that is hard choke down. She was thrilled they were so perfect.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to all...
