This not a negative review of this specific store, just for Best Buy Customer service in general.
Purchased a washer from Best Buy. The washer was damaged during installation. Contacted Best Buy Customer Service via chat. They were very nice, and offered a credit back to my original form of payment as compensation. I agreed, and the chat says the credit was applied, please wait a few moments for an email confirmation. I trusted them, thanked them, and signed off.
2 days later, no confirmation was received. I called this time, and the rep said she would look at the transcript to get caught up. Luckily, I had the transcript emailed to me at the end of the previous chat, just in case. Well, the just in case came to pass as the person on the phone said that there was no credit offered, but she could give me one anyway, for half as much. I told her I have the transcript in front of me, she said I didn't, and that what I was told is not true. I didn't appreciate being called a liar, and she didn't want me to send her the transcript I had which proved everything. I asked for a supervisor, and she replied no. When I told her the was being recorded since apparently nothing in writing can be trusted, so why would a verbal commitment be, she quickly changed her tune and got me a supervisor (after 20 minutes on hold). Supervisor again told me that there is no way my original reimbursement offer would be approved. I returned the washer, and now have to deal with the inconvenience of a pick up and ordering another washer from somewhere else. No to mention part of the purchase was from a gift card, and they literally said "should" when explaining they will need to transfer that credit to another card since I turned my original gift card in during the sale. So I will probably be out 100+ dollars when that falls through too.
I purchase thousands of dollars, every year from Best Buy for as long as I can remember. I love technology, and have a tolerant wife that lets me keep up with the newest technology. I know 5K a year is nothing for Best Buy, but it does to me. My loyalty means a lot to me too. Apparently neither means anything to Best Buy.
You have lost a long term customer. I will probably not be the last. I used to be a Supervisor for Best Buy about 25 years ago. I'm sorry to see how far quality of service has fallen. Best Buy used to be...
Read moreI bought an all in one HP computer ($999.99) there in late July. I bought a warranty and a protection plan (est. $130) and I am a Best Buy member as well. The power cord exploded and started leaking so I called to see if I could get it replaced. They made me an apt with geek squad where they told me they shipped it out and it would be to be in 5 days. Wonderful service there. Then a day later I got an email saying they needed the serial number of my order. I called for help and was transferred 5 times because nobody could find the serial number on the purchase I made and "protected". Not only that, one customer service helper tried to convince me the model number and the serial number were the same. They all repeated for me NOT to go to the store for this problem. The 6th person I talked to was a rude lady who told me I needed to go in store. Then hung up on me. I went in store and yet again, nobody at geek squad could find the serial number on my purchase. So they went to talk to their manager. They passed me as they were talking and I heard the manager call me a waste of his time. Then the geek squad employee comes back and tells me I have to bring the computer IN. In order to get a power cord shipped. I live around 30 minutes away too. I asked them if they could just override the email asking me for my serial number, since all 8 employees I've talked to couldn't find it either, but no. Nobody could do that. I went and got my computer and came back. The guy took it into the back so I went outside for a cigarette. During the 2 minutes I'm having a cigarette two workers, with vests on, start making out right outside the store in front of me. I come back in to a guy in pajamas giving me a glare and asking the girl next to him why I was there so close to closing time. Rude. The geek squad member then tells me he found the serial number and the order would be shipped to me in 8 days. I spent $130 on a protection plan for them to not even keep my purchase information on record. I talked to 6 customer service members for 1 hour and had to drive over an hour and thirty minutes to get a power cord shipped to me. I will never be buying any product from Best Buy Corp again and will be canceling...

NO calls No one every knocked the door. Delivery missed. 3rd delivery scheduled Nov 21st. The delivery driver claims he is not contracted to install the dryer. He is only here to deliver the washer and install. Washer damaged. Not working. Pedestals, where not installed properly and washer was not aligned. I was not able to use. Dec 3rd. Repair guy stopped by check to check on the washer. He claims we need a new washer. The washer drum is no longer aligned. Dec 12, Best Buy cancelled the delivery. The driver forgot to order the pedestals so the washer will not be installed. By this time, I am furious! I walked into Best Buy for a full refund. There were no apologies. Easy as hell to just return. The supervisor at Best Buy, didn't even try to make this right. Just said we can refund the W/D no problem, The scheduled a pickup of the equipment for Dec 17. Geek Squad refuses to refund me the entire warranty because I did not cancel within the 30 days. WTH!! to this day. I have not received a full refund Oct 30 to Jan 1. has been HELL! working with Best Buy and Geek Squad. I wish I knew how difficult it was going to be to deal with a bunch of idiots at Best Buy and the so-called 3rd party delivery drivers. Best Buy is a joke! They used to have the best customer service. But after COVID. They suck!! never again. I purchased a new washer and Dryer at Home Depot on Dec 12 with a deliver date Dec 21. NO issues, no hassle. ...
