We had a fine stay at this relatively new Fairfield Inn.
Pros: The front desk was polite, efficient, and professional. I really appreciated accommodating my request for the top floor. Elite status was recognized, I was asked for my choice of welcome gift, and then provided a "goodie" bag with a small water and chex mix. Our queen suite room was really nice, quite spacious, spotlessly clean, comfortable, and quiet. The furnishings were standard for a newer Fairfield, modern and inviting. The quiet surroundings provided a restful slumber. Electrical outlets were plentiful, and the bedroom TV was well placed. The desk was comfortable to work at. The bathroom was a good size, with excellent water pressure in the shower.
Cons: The internet speed was quite slow at only 15 mbps, which was barely enough to stream video. There is no good reason to have such slow speeds in 2025. You also had to reauthenticate every few hours, which was annoying. The air conditioning struggled to get to 71 degrees. Fortunately it wasn't too hot outside and we remained comfortable, but I could see this being problematic for others. The shower curtain was too short, causing water to easily spill on the floor. While showering, I unfortunately discovered there was no conditioner. That was disappointing, since it's such an easy thing to check while cleaning the room. The breakfast was mediocre, even within brand standards. The waffle was delicious though.
To summarize, overall it was a good stay, but there were some minor issues offering opportunities for improvement. The Fairfield Inn Bethlehem is a solid hotel choice...
Read moreWill never stay here again. The front desk is manned by incompetent people who have no customer service etiquette. That is, if you could even get them to come out to the desk and assist you! When we checked in, we were told our room will only be cleaned every other day. Ok, no problem. We checked in on Wednesday and checked out on Sunday. Our room was never cleaned! The front desk told us we had our DND tag on the door. We did not!!! They kept having to bring us fresh towels, but got to the point where we couldn’t even walk in our bathroom. I asked the young lady who delivered the towels if she would like to take the dirty ones and she coiled up and made a face and “eww! No! I’m a germaphobe. I’m not touching your towels!” So they sat in a pile outside our door for a day. When we were leaving our room to go out and about on Saturday, we stopped by the front desk and said please, clean our room today! It hasn’t been cleaned all week. The lady at the front desk said she would have them clean it. Fast-forward to getting back at 10 pm on Saturday. Big surprise, the room was still not clean. The bed was like sleeping on the ground, and the pillows were either nothing to them or so thick our necks were killing us the next morning. The only good thing I could say about this hotel it is new, and the breakfast staff were very sweet and accommodating. They went around to the tables and asked if anybody needed anything! They were the only ones that impressed me. The rest of the staff should be fired or trained on how to accommodate...
Read moreI am loyal to Marriott and usually stay at the Residence Inn. My diligent research paid off and I found a gem, off the beaten path and with ample free parking. There are a few, small strip malls in the area with supermarkets and stores and the highway is only a few streets away. Plenty of local and neighborhood restaurants and the more popular chains are a short drive.
My 13 and 14 yr old granddaughters and I traveled from NY to PA in route to Dorney Park. We dropped off our luggage at the hotel before going to the park 20 minutes away. I was impressed by the warm reception and professionalism of front desk staff Kinisha who ensured the request for shower gel and extra towels was fulfilled before we returned. Natalie provided valuable insight and tips for next year’s trip to the area and Dorney. Both ladies were above and beyond accommodating which resulted in a great stay.
The hotel is new so everything was pristine and hopefully it will be adequately maintained over time. The beds and sofa bed were comfortable, the room and bathroom was immaculately clean and there were no issues with water temperature or pressure, air conditioning, lighting, wi-fi, etc. Our plan to watch a movie on the streaming-ready tv failed because we were too exhausted from the park. We had a late checkout so we slept in. Although we missed the complimentary breakfast, we had tea, hot chocolate and coffee that is available 24 hrs. Thank you Fairfield Inn, we had a...
