Wayback Burgers — Restaurant in Bethlehem Township

Disappointed! I used to really like going here & I recently visited on 7/23/24 at about 6pm.

If am going to spend nearly $20 on a double cheeseburger, fries, and a soda it better not look like a “where’s the beef” commercial. It was the smallest burger I ever got from Jake’s (and I paid for a double - 2 of these tiny patties). Could not see the patties with the bun on?? and these are not huge buns. It was ridiculous and if any quality control - this should have been caught and not served. I basically got 2 sliders as my double cheeseburger.

Tables were an absolute mess. How hard is it to have someone go out on the floor once every 15 minutes or so? That should be the rule. Seems to be run by kids - at least when I was there. Looked like no one had cleaned up the dining area for hours?

To top off my experience, when I walked to the pick-up area to check if my food was ready yet, the burger/grill cook had his shirt over his face to stop sweat - with his entire bare chest & back exposed for at least 8 seconds, that really grossed me out.

With high prices everywhere these days and just nobody seeming to have pride (or self awareness) in what they do… you just have to make choices to eliminate places that don’t meet your expectations. I don’t enjoy going for a simple burger meal and leaving mad, disappointed, and feeling ripped-off over it.

Maybe a different shift would have been a better experience but It shouldn’t be hit or miss - I should t have to worry about that as a paying customer. I like Jake’s Wayback - the burgers are really good and I have been going here since this place opened, but this visit was a miss all...

Went with the family to grab lunch a few days ago. We had ordered a little more than 70 dollars worth of food for 2 adults and 3 kids. I only had 100 dollar bills on me from my jobs christmas bonus I had received the night prior, and they refused to accept it. I know businesses have the right to refuse service for any non-discriminatory reason. And I'm not claiming any of us felt discriminated against, so we just left without taking it out on the workers in any way. But I felt it was necessary to leave a review because it was dramatic and embarrassing to be turned away in front of a store full of people when I possessed valid legal currency and the food was already mostly prepared by the time we were checking out. So the decision to waste food and turn us away is what apparently is taught to employees at this establishment. Considering I know it costs a few bucks for the marker that tests bills thats wildly unproductive and unprofessional. I check bills every day at my job. And speaking from experience, I know the customer is not always right but sometimes it's more important to prioritize a customers positive experience and secure a large sale rather than harping on a rule that in that moment had no benefit to either the customer or...

We ordered the family meal and two gourmet burgers. We went to pick up our order 20 minutes after the website said it would be done, when we arrived the counter girl said it would be 15 more minutes because they were behind on orders. We waited and returned to pick up our order on the way home we realized that both of the additional burgers were not in the bag since the store was closing withing 5 minutes we called and asked them to refund us since it would take longer for them to make it and us to get there than it would be open. Thinking this was a reasonable request we gave our information since the manager wasn't there but we were informed he would be in in the morning. We called in the morning and were told the manager was not there and since he owns two locations the employee was unsure of his hours.we have been waiting 5 days after calling to provide our information twice to refund us for burgers we didn't receive that costed about $30. We have attempt to call since and have been ignored. Don't eat here or at the very least check your bags before you leave the store poor customer service from the manager who is responsible for 2 locations. The family meal burgers sucked too as icing...
