Bally's Casino Black Hawk North — Attraction in Black Hawk

Bally's used to be The Mardi Gras. From what I can tell, the Poker Room is still around and offers both cash games as well as poker tournaments.

It is one of the few casinos that offer $5 Craps and Black Jack tables as well as $1 electronic craps (where the big pair of dice bounce around).

So, for those items, I would normally give it five stars!

My experience today, however, is the reason for lowering my review to only three stars.

My brother, sister-in-law and I decided to have lunch at Bally's Cafe. I think the only one who really enjoyed their meal was my brother, who ordered eggs with bacon and hash browns. Toast did come with his meal but for some reason, he only received a half a slice of toast!

My sister-in-law order the chicken tenders with fries. The fries were fantastic but the chicken tenders were more bread than meat!

I ordered a Ruben with the thousand island dressing on the side because I much prefer mustard with my corned beef.

Well, our meals seemed to take longer to arrive than I expected. My Ruben arrived with the TI dressing on the side, as requested. But one bite into my Ruben and I immediately realized that my sandwich also contained TI dressing!

The server apologized (she acknowledged that I had asked for dressing on the side) and said that another plate would be out in 5 minutes.

Well, 15 minutes later it arrived, but by this time, both my brother and sister-in-law were almost finished with their meals.

I should say that neither of them are ones to complain at a restaurant, so I did not make a scene by complaining about the timing of the meal nor, it turned out, about the quality of the meat! The corned beef on the sandwich was on the tough side, to say the least; there was not any sauerkraut on the remade Ruben; and the pickle wedge that accompanied the original Ruben was now absent!

I wound up eating less than half of the Ruben basically because it was not great and compounded by the fact that I had two people who finished their meal and were now waiting for me to finish my meal.

I personally thought that the server should have realized how the re-making of the meal affected the...

Host are amazing and sympathetic. Whoever is incharged of marketing, need to be replaced. I spoke with many ballys legends customers who are not happy this year 2025 due to tiers being demoted after spending alot of money playing their tight machines. Then non regulars comes in and play max bet and raked in over 20 handpays. On top of it , they dont even tip😜 I had been playing at Bally's casino for decades and I've been a legend for quiet sometimes. And this year my tier is taken away because of frequent visits? We should be acknowledge as frequent contributor to this business and get rated higher because we are contributing our wages consistently as a faithful customers in this casino. The amount of $$$ I lost in 2024 in Bally's is like someone yearly wages. But yet I was told my loss not sufficient enough to keep my tier level😡 I've observed in the past a host was asked a concert or some sort of an event tickets by someone I know and barely gamble at Ballys, But because she knows the marketing manager her request was granted. I asked the same favor, on a different occasion and my request was denied! It's all about who you know in a gambling industries I guess...I also witnessed unfairness in table games That's why I don't play tables anymore.. a card player bet were rated higher than the original bet because she personally know the pit boss or friends with certain dealers. SOL to players who dont know anyone.😂 Some of us will be playing somewhere else where we are appreciated...Bally's casino do not appreciate your business. Play somewhere else where you get...

I took my wife out to Bally casino to have a great Veterans Day because she is a veteran. We was up stairs on the black jack table and then downstairs to play poker and to the craps table. I have been a loyal customer to Bally's before it changed its name three different times. All the guys behind the games where tired and angry very aggressive to us it was just crazy to see staff that’s responsible for the safety and making sure all customers are respected; and not to be in a position of trust and treat us like we there wasting there time. I had to cash out of the craps table because the guys was not focused on the job and arguing with a guy over him picking a dice off the floor and tossing it on the table and the guy name PAT at the craps table was very upset and angry at this guy I cashed out as well as the guy and his wife I never experienced this type behavior at a casino Are seen these guys who are getting paid money to act like customers are not important to their establishment. Bally please correct the issues before it’s too late. The kitchen down stairs is a health concern Guy running around mixing chicken and beef together. Trash and garbage on floor he was so terrible with his customer service he don’t care like the rest of the crew.
