This Arts Center is located on the Main Street of Blowing Rock North Carolina. It is divided into sections by the type of art that is featuring that month outside it has a rock tumbling machine that used to be used for the stones up there and within the museum there is the most interesting light fixture I have ever seen anywhere it reminds you of a starry night. My family went when they had a three-dimensional display in one room and we're featuring female artists which was very interesting because most places there are very few female artists Works available. Then you can go right on down the street walking and have lunch at the Southern...

A charming and friendly place! My little kid bumped into Sarah Vaughn (the glass artist who created the rock collection), and she was so patient talking with him and took him in to create the community's paper rock art in the museums education room. My kid hugged her goodbye, asked her to remember his name, and on our way back thru the town, he was so happy that he knocked on rocks in the bricks singing "Sarah, Sarah, Sarah". I truly appreciate the kindness that created this...

Beautiful facility with professional exhibits. Staff and Volunteer were friendly, knowledgable, and very welcoming. Impressive pottery exhibition! We enjoyed the history of the High Lands area exhibits. There were numerous relics from area establishments, past and present, with interesting facts and information. The purpose of our visit was to see the Ben Long and his student, Tony's, exhibit. It did not...

Beautiful museum in a well-designed, unobtrusive stone building that on the day I visited showcased the work of NC artists in two striking exhibits. One displayed several gorgeous landscapes by noted painter John Beerman and the other selected and truly varied works from the pottery collection of an NC couple. How wonderful also that admission is free!

What a nice museum. Very informative video on the history of Blowing Rock, and how it came to be. Then a nice flow through the multiple galleries within the museum. My favorite exhibit was the watercolors. A wonderful collection of art and history all under one roof. The gentleman working the welcome desk was very informative and nice.

It’s a nice but small museum. Very little historical pieces. The introductory movie was very good. Some nudity in some of the art photography Exhibit that I think is temporary. I personally didn’t care much for it and I found it tasteless but I am sure some will think it’s art.
