The Hemlock Inn is quaint, and in a great location to Main Street and the Blue Ridge Parkway in blowing rock North Carolina. It’s a family run hotel with different types of rooms, free parking, gardens, gazebo with propane fireplace. Our room was #3, which had a kitchenette, a king size bed, TV, couch, and a very tiny, but functional bathroom. As for a value for price, the location, free parking, and kitchenette contributed to raise the value. The staff is efficient and will share knowledge about the area if asked. The Hemlock Inn’s iconic wood carvings on the front of the building between the first and second floor are endearing and eye-catching. The family is working hard to update rooms one at a time. My suggestion is to update the mattress in room three. I also suggest bringing your own pillow otherwise a very good day, where I felt welcomed and relaxed.

This is my new favorite place to stay in Blowing Rock! I have been visiting Blowing Rock for 40 years and I finally gave this inn a try. I stayed in one of the King suites which has a small kitchen and seating area. I highly recommend! The room was decorated beautifully and the bed was so comfortable! The kitchen had adorable teacups and a matching set of dinnerware. I loved the ambience of the electric fireplace mounted on the wall, and the bathtub even had molded armrests which I took advantage of! The entire suite had been immaculately cleaned as well. Thank you for a lovely, relaxing stay, and I will definitely be back!

This is the cutest little place with beautiful rooms, a gazebo, pretty flowers and trees and an ideal location. You can walk to everything in Blowing Rock plus trails and the Blue Ridge Parkway are just minutes away. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The owner is very kind and I really wish I had the time to stay here at week!

5 stars for the quaint town service you get! I arrived past the 6pm closing time and had left my cell phone in the car. Hemlock called me once around 9am and again around 5:30pm to confirm my reservation and then they told me where they would leave my key for me when I arrive. I thought that was so sweet of them. Upon leaving, the lady at the front desk was equally as kind and then about a week later, when I was home, I found an envelope from them with my credit card receipt and a brochure to the Inn! We all had forgotten to ring me out as I was leaving, but thankfully they had my info since I had booked it through their website.

The location and cleanliness are also 5 stars. I do wish there were black out curtains as I’m a light sleeper, and there wasn’t a closet, but there were about 5 hangers on a rod under the TV, and that was sufficient for us. Again, quaint town and I loved the feel and proximity of the Inn to...

We had a nice stay at this Inn; the manager on duty was very friendly.|On the afternoon before our second night’s stay, I had a pastoral emergency with someone who was dying. I told the manager about that and she said that she was sorry that I had to return early, and that she would try to rent the room do the night. When I discovered that the full amount for two nights was deducted from my credit card, I contacted the manager about that. She informed me that my departure that afternoon prevented them from renting the room, and that, since I was booked through a third-party agency, there was no way that I could be reimburse for my 2nd night’s stay. I just wish that the manager would have told me that when I left, rather than after a communication I initiated a...
